Can you try the one I linked?
It used to work on CM9
I've tried. It does not work for me.
It says wpa_supplicant is not available. I've set it to skip supplicant as Barnacle suggested. It didn't help.

Update: Barnacle and OpenGarden started to work, but as ad-hoc only, when I installed CM7 kernel. I was sure I've already had CM7 kernel...
Anyway, normal mode (not ad-hoc) tethering still doesn't work. Is there a chance to fix it?

BTW, This(http://defy.wdscript.fr/defyplus-cm9/CM9-NIGHTLY-121118-Defy+.zip) is the latest nightly with 2nd-boot and it does not require flashing any other kernel, afaik.

Just wipe data and flash.

The OP is outdated, I just don't have a chance to update it.

I actually have that on my defy at the moment..however, when i just flashed it without a kernal, the wifi refused to turn on, tried a different kernal and it did the same thing...tried the wifi fixes as well way back on the first page of this thread and they didn't work either. When i used the kernal i had before with the MS2Ginger 3.0 rom , the wifi worked fine

Cyanogenmod 9 Processor Usage

Hi all,

I've been on CM9 ROMS for a few months as a daily driver for now. (I want to wait until the CM10 builds are stable before upgrading).

This is not a bugreport but I have noticed the following:

On CM9 processor usage goes up to 100 percent for a couple of minutes with some process eating up my RAM resources.
This is on the CM7 kernel and also on the custom kernel from WIUI v4 from Stefan Braun.

Furthermore I get Force Closes at random after 1 or 2 weeks after installing a new cm9 rom.

On some the GPS signaling doesn't seem to work at all and sometimes it peaks and drops. (CM9 Epsylon and Icegun 1.0)

Is this due to the fact that Ice Cream Sandwich runs on a Froyo kernel and therefore can not handle certain calls from apps?

I have already tried to Supercharge CM9 but that has not much effect on this problem.

My main concern is that it is very hard to use my phone as there is no processing power left to use standard apps and the operating system.

My Defy is a MB525 Green Lens model. I run the 2.2.2 stock german Blur ROM underneath all and I currently use MIUI v4 Stefan Braun Edition.

Can the resource drain be fixed or has anyone got a similar problem like this?

(If anyone wants logs or more info on this I am willing to provide this information if it can be captured.)
