try changing your theme to something else to see if that changes them.. if does, then try swapping back

That was the first thing I tried, it didnt work. Oh well, I dirty flashed the ROM and now its back.

did you by chance flash any of the extra stuff for the themes? could have had a bad download on one of the extras that may have changed it.. only other thing i can think of.. mine havent done that yet

No sir, I was messing around in the ROM settings and SysUI crashed and when it was back up the toggles looked like that.

Ok so here's one that just boggles me. System back ground applies except on contacts. If i turn the phone landscape it will show instantly and then stay in portrait. Hard to explain, it's weird.

from one michigander to another....looks like it keeps the portrait contacts wallpaper in cache but updates it for landscape. so for it to be set on the first "look" (without going to portrait first) just swipe contacts away in recents first just like you would to update any other changes to other apps too

seriously dude???? just load up one of the pre-made themes with red in it already (red-n-gray, ironman, ghostrider or something similar) go on the internet and search for alabama roll tide elephant and then click on images and CHOOSE YOUR favorite one or two and either save them or set them directly as a wallpaper. between the time it took for you to write your post and me on my response you woulda had it done several times over. It's seriously that easy to get it how you want it to look. C'mon...you can do eet

Sure harley could replace the background (and not sure ironman would be a good choice with the yellow).. but someone like Bubba could go in and edit the toggles, dialpad, etc to get some images in tehre to make it even sweeter... so.. while yes, could do a short quick fix for a background, but someone could make it go even further with the edits that he/she (hell nor i) have the knowledge of doing to make it an even better theme... hell like the batman they did with the toggles and details.. thats not a "quick" fix bro...

hell i had similar thought as i saw his post about doing a Dawgs one .. i might do the wallpaper, ,ut to get a dawg into the toggle to show when on and dont show (or grey out) when not, and do something nice with teh dialpad would be awesome.. but they already have a full load and im not gonna ask for something like that

we all started as noobs. unfortunately most of us didn't have the resources such as @Bubbajoe40356 Theming Thread and trudged along until pieces all fell into place. best way to get YOUR phone to YOUR specs is to learn and do it yourself. if you don't wanna put the time into your own device then why would someone else want to put their time into your device. Theming 101 thread has some very knowledgeable and experienced guys (themers and devs) that have pretty much dedicated their time to helping others figure theming out. i highly respect them all. Read up, try stuff out and ask questions. Use @Bubbajoe40356 zips as templates along with the many pre-made themes as a starting point and it's actually VERY EASY. the hard part is already done for you (searching for color codes and the images). you don't even have to know how to decompile

Quick question. I have looked but , not every page. on the pop up menu, the selectable text doesn't show up. Pressed is there. Before you make a selection for gallery for example, when attaching a photo, is there. Otherwise it looks like this. Is it something in alliance manager I'm missing? I'm running mostly stock alliance rom with Bubba Joe's black glass from post 3. Any help would be appreciated. Just curious if it's an easy fix or something i need to look into from a main theming pov. Thanks

Thanks so much for the compliment ... but to be honest, what Mikey says is true. It is that easy. I spend more time setting colors, wallpapers, and everything in Alliance CS than I do on the dialers, toggles, and tabs. The toggles are 2 images, dialer has 8 or so, and the tabs are 2 (although .9 images). As he also stated, the hard part is done. Open up one of my dialer zips and use that as a template. You can use Photoshop or Gimp to edit the images.
My offer to you or anyone ... make your theme with Alliance CS and Alliance Manager. Head to the 101 thread and read the entire first page and watch some of the videos. Play around with my zip :silly: then ... if you can't get your edits to work ... ask .... you will receive help. There are a bunch of great guys in that thread. There are no "gimmies" but we never refuse to help someone who is trying and learning.
I'll even post a template zip for the preview image so that you can make those as well. I use Gimp because for me and my simple mind .. it is the easiest. There are plenty of videos to get you started with it.
