As I mentioned earlier, these devices are a bit of a scam with reporting of fake Android versions, fake cpu speeds etc. but the most problematic thing is some models (like mine) have a sabotaged root and ADB so the path to rooting and custom recovery is difficult. Many Apps are prevented from installing and many Apps that interrogate the hardware are intercepted and prevented from displaying the true hardware specs. These devices have to be the pinnacle of Chinese dishonesty and deception.... I bought mine with eyes already open to this being quite familiar with the ultra-inflated and false claims from most China traders.
The one thing I have not tested yet is whether ADB works from recovery. Recovery can be accessed via the reset button. Long press to force reset and then a short press or something as it reboots apparently.

No, when I go in car settings there is the option to select system update there in the menu pane, but when i click that, nothing happens, the icon just indicates that you pressed it and then nothing. no option to select local update or anything like that.. thanks for the passwords btw

I think my screen is just showing green lines because I changed the graphics and now there's nothing I can do. I tried to upload a new software through USB, but it only says update done, and nothing happens. Is there a solution?

i have extracted the files to usb drive, but the tablet cant seems to read the file from the usb

how i can install this firmware?!

do i need to remove the tablet from the car and connected it to home pc?

@inferno070 Untried by myself but I did read that you can use the reset button (small hole underneath the mic hole) to enter recovery mode. I think it needs a long press to reboot then a short press as it starts to reboot to enter recovery. After that, you can cycle around the option with short presses. It is totally untested by me but nice if it works compared to the other option of using PhoenixSuit.

Ive literally just purchase a used Allwinner Car stereo unit and apparently it worked with apple car play, however it isnt and i dont think its working correctly as i cannot even change the icons on the front and it seems old compared to the screen shots ive seen on here.

Does anyone have the latest firmware that i can just copy onto a USB and update the firmware. Also which USB lead does it need to be the 4pin or 6pin?

Did you get any fix? I updated today to same version and my device is behaving weird.. apps are crashing continuously.. i even did a factory reset but it did not help..

I have update over the air to latest firmware without having the problems that others are complaining about. Maybe some people are manually updating via USB with the wrong firmware for their device? Is anyone who has updated via FOTA had issues?
