I wanted to update from Android 2.3.5 to 4. I rooted my phone properly, and that went fine with Superuser elite. Because of upgrading, I installed CWM 5.0.2.7 via Odin. In the background CWM shows errors:
Code:
Cannot mount /cache!
And errors like that. I formatted microSD card, inserted it back, formatted it. The errors are still here. Because of the left cache folder, I couldn't install Android 4. I followed all guides on Internet, the problem is still here. I thought newer version of CWM will solve it:(, and I downloaded version 6 and flashed it through Odin(WHY?:crying:). Now I cannot go to download mode or CWM, I am stuck at SAMSUNG logo when I boot the phone. Any help will be very appreciated. :highfive: The last thing I would do is to go to shop and request a new one, because my warranty expired in February.:eek: It's cost is 210 euro. This is the second time I almost bricked my device.

cwm doesn't support RFS . so you should format cache and data partition before installing custom ROMs.
goto recovery and do this:
wipe data/reset
advanced-> wipe dalvik cache
install zip from sdcard -> choose ROM file
wipe data/reset
advanced-> wipe dalvik cache
reboot

But, the real problem is: I cannot go to CWM or download mode! Also, I cannot format cache via CWM because of the errors in first post.

try usb jig! google it .
when you connect usb jig to your phone an alternative download mode start and you can flash a stock rom via odin!
i hope this works for you.
OK. I though to do it this way:
1. Buy USB jig.
2. Go to download mode.
3. Flash TWRP with Odin.
4. Install Android 2.3.6.
5. Flash CWM via Odin.
6. Fix cache problem somehow.
7. Install Android 4! Yay!
For the step 6, how can I fix the cache error?

NOOOO! you should install TWRP with custom recovery, NOT Odin! don't do same mistake again.
this is the proccess:
1- buy usb jig and connect it to your phone.
2- flash Stock Firmware(it must be 2.3.x) with odin! (you can download stock firmwares from samfirmware.com)
3- flash this with odin:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1339640
it's most stable recovery that we have!
4-wipe data/reset
advanced-> wipe dalvik cache
5-install zip from sdcard -> choose ROM file
6-wipe data/reset
advanced-> wipe dalvik cache
7-reboot
and now you have android 4! yeah :D
Stock Roms have RFS partition type and our custom recovery doesn't support RFS so that mount problem appears. but you can format partitions again and convert partition to Ext4. just do step 4 .

CWM can convert to ext4? I thought that only TWRP can do that.

Will this one work on Galaxy Fit?

EDIT: I have Android 2.3.6. How can I reset the number of flashes?
yes it should work. it's just a simple resistor. you can make your own jig:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1604707
i made one and it worked for me . i hope work for you too.

i heard that samsung changed bootloader so you can't reset number of flashes any more. you said your warranty expired in February! so why do you want to do that??

I solved it this way. I went to service and they somehow installed Android 2.3.6. Now I partitioned my 8 GB SD card via CWM and currently I am trying PAC-man ROM(S) from this forum. I will post what will happen. :)
