Android Open Source Project Rom 8.0.0 r17 OCT 5 2017 Security patch

Another new Oreo rom for our powerful device Moto G3 2015 by Ahmed Hady @ultradevs Team​

- What's UltraAOSP ?
This Rom is the initial Alpha build of Our new project named UltraAOSP ... this rom is so pure AOSP with minor modes for now but we will add more modes in Next Builds

- What's Working ?
Everything except Camcorder (Works but can't save videos -> broken) (Works on Footej Cam)

- What's not Working ?
Camcorder (Works but can't save videos -> broken) (Works on Footej Cam)

- What about VOLTE ?
Volte is unstable so we removed it for now ( u can try volte patch )

- What is added for now ?
  • Oreo Color engine with 3 added themes (Pixel, Stock, Purple)
  • Adaptive icon and theme for Messaging App with color engine
  • New icon for Gallery app
  • System UI Tuner
  • UD 5.0 Kernel
  • Some System Optimizations

Edit: Fixed my APN issue, my problem happens on all Oreo ROM's not just this one.
Same stupid problem with APN settings as other Oreo Rom's for me. Arrrrg

OP make this post yesterday morning.. at that time Official OpenGapps are available for download but still it has issue while flashing from TWRP as tested & confirmed by many people on this Forum (Currently official OpenGapps are not available for download)... I don't know if OP tested Official Gapps or not. but the Gapps from above link are working & from trusted source..
@Ahmed Hady please look into this

opengapps for 8 are not available from website that's why he posted that:

    A General review after a few hours of usage, @Ahmed Hady
    My Device - XT-1550 2 GB Ram model,
    Rooted with Magisk 14.2 Beta & Safety net passed without any module.
    Actually i personally want to be test more things with this ROM but that Sdcard issue forcing me to switch to another ROM,
    Anyways first impression was really good with this ROM.. ROM is very clean & fast when it comes to the performance.. as like a other Oreo ROM's it also has a frequent reboot issue & after reboot Sdcard notification popped up(In my case it shows me Sdcard corrupted notification). as i posted in earlier post after flashing this ROM ExFat (Fusebulk) Sdcards are stopped working with this ROM, It shows Sdcard is corrupted (have faced same issue with PA), please keep this in mind before flashing this ROM.. but i want that someone with the Same model and Sdcard type, please check for this & confirm if he also faces same issue.

    Below are the things tested by me & working fine for me while running this ROM on my device for around 8 hours..

    1. Navigation Bar Customization - working fine.. tested for PIP mode & screen off..
    2. GPS - working fine but need to test more (Tested only With Google Maps)
    3. WiFi & Hotspot - Working fine till now. ( You can't see how many users are connected to your Hotspot like other Oreo Rom's.)
    4. Mobile Data & 4G - working fine for Both SIM cards(VOLTE not tested & i think it's not implemented in this ROM as confirmed by Dev)
    5. Bluetooth - Working fine & Bluetooth Audio is also working fine.
    6. Voice Calling - working fine on Both Sim's (In Roaming not tested)
    7. Video calling - tested with Whatsapp, Duo & FB Messenger & it's working fine.
    8. Sdcard - Unable to test due to Exfat Sdcard's are not supported in this ROM.
    9. Audio playback - working fine.. tested with Sony music player app & default music player.
    10. Video playback - working fine with Mx player & YouTube.
    11. Screen mirroring - working fine.. tested with My Sony Bravia while playing Youtube video's.
    12. PIP mode - working with Whatsapp & FB Messenger Video calling.. it's also Working with duo but have some bugs.. working with Google maps.. For YouTube not working for me.
    Some user's on this Forum confirmed that PIP for YouTube will only works if you have Youtube RED subscription or you need to use Old version of YouTube ( i have not tested this)
    13. Email Sync - working fine.. tested with 2 different Google accounts in Gmail application.
    14. Camera - working fine.. tested with default camera, Moto Z camera & some beauty cams
    15. Video Recording (Camcorder) - Working with Footage Camera sometime.
    16. Clock Alarms - working fine.
    17. Notification snooze - working fine.
    18. Ambient display - When ambient display turns on, you have to double tap the screen to get to your lockscreen. It was a single tap on Nought ROMs
    19. Battery charging LED is on by default, i couldn't found a way to disable it.
    20. Moto gestures working fine.
    21. Root - I have rooted with Magisk 14.2 & able to pass Safetynet without any module.. but playstore still shows you that you're device is uncertified. (Clear Playstore data to Resolved issue)
    22. Ram Management & Battery life - Ram Management is really good & about battery life need to test more but it's decent.
    23. Notification Sounds - there are many notification sounds are by default in this Rom & this all are working nice...
    24. Substratum - Substratum themes are not tested.

    Overall i really like Dev work but i have to move on to some other ROM due to Sdcard Issue. Hope Dev will found some workaround for this issue & fix it.
