Take into account that if your device is a Samsung Galaxy SL I9003L, you'll have to use an I9003L stock firmware, not an I9003 one.
Also, if you flash CyanogenMod again, you'll have to replace the /radio/modem.bin file with one for the I9003L, as they are different basebands.
Good luck!

P.S.: You could also try to flash LoSconosciuto's CM10 build. It is, in fact, prepared for the I9003L, except for the modem.bin problem I commented above.

My device is Stock DDLF2 so I wanted to flash it with other custom roms hence I flashed it with CF ROOT(DDLF2_CFROOT-05-07-2012.tar) and I flashed the CM9 Alpha14 rom it was working good and i could go to recovery and reboot without any problem, then I thought I should flash CM10 based roms so I tried to flash Slim Bean and as per the installation instruction I had to flash first CM10 Alpha4(http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1868074) so I downloaded the rom and tried to flash while flashing when it just starts to load package it just reboots into recovery where I cannot click on any options, though I remove battery and try to switch it ON after some time same thing, thankfully my download mode works, so what I do is I flash the stock rom again on top of KPE following the thread below:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1133787

no matter how much I try I am just able to get back my DDLF2 stock but could not get past the abrupt reboot into recovery thing. I tried directly installing
Slim Bean
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2024076

as well as

ENHDRIOX 13.2.9
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2043870

but same thing, so i tried installing CM9 A14(http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1449649) back where I can flash it without any problem and starts just fine, but when I try to reboot into recovery same recovery bootloop, but before flashing CM10 A4 it was working just fine. I tried all of those back and forth I don't know how many times but same results. I'm afraid I might brick my phone by doing it so many times. I even tried installing the crackerizer-kernel-final.zip thinking that the kernel that currently i'm might have not supported the kernels in the custom roms that I've been trying to flash but not luck so far.

I'm currently in DDLF2 stock rom.

Please Help, desperately in need of some expert advise.

Learn how to read the instructions thoroughly and follow it properly. When you flash CM10A4 it will automatically restart. Don't pull out the battery when it restarts. You have to resume/continue flashing CM10A4. Do the flashing again starting from DDLF2 then proceed with rooting and CM10A4. After you have flashed CM10A4 successfully, then you can flash any custom ROMS with CM10A4 base.

Well I read instruction properly, and I'm not sure whether you read my comments, I did flash CM10A4 and when it restarts it automatically goes to recovery and I can't choose any options over there, its not like I wanted to pull battery when it restarts. So that is where I got stuck.

So would appreciate if you could help me out here.

well i opened that thread because forum didn't allowed me to comment in developer section until i have atleast 10 posts so because of that I had to do it, and in general forum it seems I wasn't getting much response to my query except for yours, which I really appreciate, so it wasn't a spam I think I justified it.

And coming back to the suggestion you gave, to flash "IoSconosciuto's latest CM10" you gave most of the answers in my other thread just wanted to clear some other confusions
does it work with 720p recording and loading youtube vidoes in HD and HQ?

Moreover while flashing do I need to flash the kernel he shared separately or I don't need to flash kernel separately as it is already embedded in the rom?

Thanks

How good is Alpha 5 for daily usage? I haven't been using the phone much apart from testing the builds. I just need some feedback so that I could decide from where to start again.

For me is not good enough because of almost daily have 1 sod and battery life is not more than 7/8 hours with normal use(3g on,some calls, some whatsapp and xda app, no gaming and no play music or video).

Hi Dhiru

I think most problems can come from a leak you miss test only :p

I suggest you bring a recent build for testing
we will then proceed to a recent review of current users well concentrated on your question

Alpha 5 is still in experimental stage I think. There are major bugs which need to be solved to make it as a daily driver. Main problems with alpha 5 roms are as follows. I have ordered bugs with user's higher priority to lower priority.

1. SOD (most of the people are experiencing it)
2. Screen tearing issue (Almost everyone experiencing it)
3. Hardware composer not working
4. Tethering doesnt work
5. Usb mass storage not working
6. No reboot option
7. Poor battery life

CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 4.1 (JB), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

    Code:
    #include <std_disclaimer.h>
    /*
     * Your warranty is now void.
     *
     * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
     * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
     * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
     * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
     * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
     */

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

    IMPORTANT!

    * PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE TOPIC BEFORE FLASHING THE ROM.

    Bug Reports
    * REPORT BUGS IN THE TOPIC ONLY.
    * DON'T SEND ME PM MESSAGES ABOUT BUGS OR FEATURE REQUESTS.
    * ONLY REPORT THE BUGS IN CM10. I DON'T PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR OTHER ROMS. POST IN THEIR RESPECTIVE THREADS.
    * IF YOU ARE ON A CUSTOM KERNEL, FIRST CHECK WITH THE STOCK KERNEL AND THEN REPORT THE BUG.

    Changelog

    Alpha 4 - 12022012 - WIPE!
Upgrade to MTD partitioning. No more BML!
    Uses YAFFS filesystem for Onenand.
    Fixed Front Facing Camera Capture
OMX Encoders and Decoders are compiled from Source.
Fix Orientation issues with Front Camera in third party applications.
Front Camera Image rotation 90 degrees to match orientation.
    Front Camera Stretch Preview Fixed.
Fixed several memory leaks in Camera HAL.

IMPORTANT! READ BEFORE FLASHING THIS RELEASE!
    1. This ROM will wipe data due to different partitioning. The device would reboot while flashing and resume again.
    2. Once on this ROM, the most effective way of going back to any other ROM would be to repartition from Odin.
    3. While converting the filesystem, your efs that has your IMEI is backed up to /emmc/backup/efs. Keep a backup on your PC just in case.
    4. Incase if you don't get a network signal, check if your IMEI and Baseband are proper. If not, go back to stock and try again.
    5. Do NOT use Odin to flash Modems. Due to different partitions, Odin will screw up your existing MTD setup.

    Alpha 3 - 10132012
    Updated base to 4.1.2
    Improvements to 720P Video Playback.
    Fixed crash after recording video.

Autofocus fixes for Camera Timer mode.
    Changes and Fixes from Upstream.

    Alpha 1 - 03092012
    Initial Release

    Installation Instructions

This ROM is divided into 2 parts and some of the applications are installed on the /data partition due to lack of space for full Jellybean installation.

First CM release with 3.0.8 kernel is uploaded.

I have decided to push it to Alpha 5 since most of the stuff works and we have already lost a lot of time since the last stable release (Alpha 4). It's still on CM 10 (4.1.2) for the moment.

Let me know how it goes.

    Hello Guys,

I just wanted to keep you informed about the status of the 3.0 kernel that is being currently worked upon.

As many of you might have noticed my Github repos, me and Adi_pat are working on the 3.0 kernel for the last 10 days. We have had substantial progress as we got the system up and running. Most of the basic stuff works including the Touchscreen, Touchkeys, Volume Keys, Power button, LCD display, GPU etc.

We still have to work on getting the Samsung drivers working. However, we have been facing issues with getting the USB to work which has got us stranded for few days.

The progress has been amazing, provided that it has only been 10 days since we started working on the 3.0 kernel and we got it to a booting stage. The kernel is still not release ready, since most of the stuff doesn't work. However, assuming how things fast things are moving forward, the early alpha release should be nearby.

    Known Issues

    1. WIFI doesn't work perfectly. Network strength doesn't show up and the network often disconnects.
    2. There is LAG in the UI due to lack of Hardware Composer.
    3. Video recording and playback suffers low framerate issues. Will be fixed soon.
    4. Built-in WiFi hotspot doesn't work. Please use third party applications.

Alpha 4 is out. This would be the last release on 2.6.35 kernel. Since I have got UART setup, I have already started working on the 3.0 kernel.

I haven't been able to test the Mobile Network properly because I usually don't get proper network at my place. Please test and let me how it goes.
