Fluid, without unnecessary applications. I couldn't bring down the camera by taking photos and videos :).
I have tried 5-6 Pie Athena roms and most are very close to getting the label stable and complete in the true sense.
Will SeLinux and encryption be completed?

Still alpha?

The thread title says [ALPHA] and the first post says camera and various other things don't work.
Has this changed and is the ROM now a daily usable?

[Edit] I decided, why just ask questions, when I could install it and see. How long should it show the boot screen for at first startup, anyway?
[Edit2] And it's installed and running, looking fantastic. Camera is ok, video mode just needed to have the resolution reduced to 1080 and it works, tho the video orientation is a bit strange and does not match how the phone was oriented while recording.

Everything is working well, no problems found so far.
One thing I noticed tho, when I enable developer mode, I cannot find the developer options anywhere in setup. When I type developer in the search, it finds it, but otherwise I can't see the option anywhere. Is this normal for 9.0?

Music app fails

The music app sees a bunch of MP3s I loaded onto the SD card, but just tells me it can't play them. Could that be related to permissions?
I installed VLC and it plays them ok.

I'm about to convert two Moto G4 (XT1622), which are stuck at official Android 7.0 (security patch level from 1 April 2018) to LOS with the intention to add Magisk and microG.

Is this "Alpha" ROM now the recommended way to go?

And what's up with the architecture (32 vs 64 bit):

Which of the two to use and are both fully functional?

When I test drove an older ARM build of this ROM a few months ago everything was functional although I can't say for voLTE since I don't use it. I tested with Open Gapps for only a few days and recall nothing negative. As for stability, I would assume ARM64 is less so than ARM on an athene phone. But if @Deivid_21's recent contributions to AOSiP are any indication, you may have better than expected results going with ARM64. Whatever you decide, I'm interested in hearing about your experience with microG.

New Build 20230918 (arm64 only)

Download:

Changelog:
  • Based on @Deivid_21's device tree.
  • September 2023 Security Patch.
  • Security string not bumped (Uses January, 2022)
  • Fixed Safetynet
  • Replaced MotoActions with LineageActions

Disclaimer / Pre-requisites:
  1. Flash at your own risk.
  2. Make a TWRP backup before flashing a new build.
  3. Downgrading Builds is not supported.
  4. Clean flash is required, If you are downgrading the build.
  5. Oreo Baseband (MSM8952_70030.25.03.77R) is required.

Important Notes:
  1. This build passes Safetynet and shows "Device is Certified" in Play Store. If Safetynet doesn't work in future, use "MagiskHide Props Config" module.
  2. Avoid using any custom tweaks or playing with kernel settings. It will only make device more unstable.
  3. Some apps like Yono SBI, Yono SBI Lite, etc sometimes work and sometimes doesn't work or detect root. Don't root, if you want to use Banking apps. Even Magisk Hide won't help, due to the security implemented into the apps. It may also not work, if the apps, that require root but they work if specific permissions granted through adb, are installed or actively running in background.
  4. WhatsApp Voice Message is broken.
  5. Security String is still January 2022 because it was the last official security patch for Pie. All the patches after that are backports from higher Android versions, ported by LOS developers.

Note: Development for LineageOS 16.0 Pie has been paused until I get LineageOS 15.1 Oreo fully working. Once Oreo is done, I will do Pie for sure, but I am in no mood of hurrying like this. If you really want to use Pie ROMs, better try using OmniROM. Given that, I do not recommend flashing the available LineageOS 16.0 builds, use LineageOS 15.1 instead.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 9 (Pie), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

    Instructions :
Note: This is a 64 bit ROM so it requires 64 bit twrp. Please use micro gapps. Pico seems to create a problem with RIL.
    • Download the latest build and gapps
    • Boot to recovery
    • Flash the latest build
    • Boot to recovery again
    • Flash gapps
    • Reboot

    List of Known Issues

    • Flashlight toggle is not working
    • Random Reboots to Recovery at times for dual sim users.
    • SE Linux is permissive

    Reporting Bugs
    • DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
    • Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
    • If it is a random reboot, grab /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops and /sys/fs/pstore/dmesg-ramoops-0. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
    • If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

    Update

    Update 30 Nov 2018

    Changelog:
    Fixes regarding compression decompression
    sched/cpufreq driver updates
    kernel side fixes
    probably fix random reboots

    Notes:
    1. Default Camera app now opens but takes time to open at the first time and is pretty much the same like Oreo. Enough said, I do not recommend using the app, instead please use the Moto Camera zip from here or the Google Camera port from here
    2. OpenGApps has a weird behaviour for me, sometimes a few crashes on the setup wizard itself. Currently I have no fix for this, I did manage to get past the setup wizard by skipping the setup itself. However do check out SimpleGApps from Ezio available here, I haven't used them though.
