Step 1:
Download Note4Settings.zip file from: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B3gwmSck4630a0VITlNrUkdvRzA and place it on the sdcard.

Step 2:
Using Root Explorer or ES File Manager, go to etc/permissions folder and delete the "android.hardware.fingerprint.xml" file.

Step 3:
Go to system/priv-app and delete "FingerprintService2" folder.

Step 4:
In the system/priv-app make a backup of "SecSettings2" folder somewhere else and then delete the folder from its original position. (This is the original note 7 settings app provided in the rom).

Step 5:
Now boot into recovery and flash the "Note4Settings.zip" file from the link I provided.

Step 6:
Reboot in system and register your fingerprints from Note 4 settings. (Don't use it for lock screen, just register it. Thats it).

Step 7:
After registering all 3 fingerprints, go to system/priv-app and delete that "SecSettings2" folder. (This is the note 4 settings that is obtained after flashing).

Step 8:
Reboot your phone.

Step 9:
After rebooting, restore the rom's original "SecSettings2" folder in system/priv-app that you backed up in Step 4. (Don't forget to restore permissions).

Step 10:
Reboot your phone and use any app lock with fingerprint.
I recommend using AppLock - Fingerprint: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sp.protector.free&hl=en instead of C-Locker.

Important Note: Don't skip Step no. 8 since reboot is necessary. If you directly try to restore the rom's original note 7 settings (Step 9), it will give u a force close after reboot.

Hit Thanks if it worked for you. :)

Anyone tried this in v5 rom? Because i have many freeze after flashing it.
In step 6, when i go to register fingerprint, it shows an error message :There was an error with fingerprint sensor..
N910F clean install. Ramrom kernel.
Thanks.

It works successfully on Norma Rom v5. :) I've made this solution only for norma ROM. I don't know if it works on other roms. Haven't tried on 910F as I own 910G, but it has to work successfully on 910F also if it has norma rom installed. 910G and 910F are very similar.

When i flashed the note 4 setting file, i still had note 7 setting.. That's why it didn't work this method to me. I understood it when i tried the other method which worked..
Perhaps it does work but something rom from me..

Did you do the step 4 correctly? Before flashing, u had to make a backup and delete SecSettings2 folder from its original position...

I followed the steps.. With your method after flashing note4 settings are there 2 settings at the same time in phone? Note4 setings and note7 settings? If yes then i could have run note7 setting instead of note7 setting.. The only thing i can think..
Anyway when someone else try it we will see if it work.
Now it is working to me with the older method which is similar.

Use "App Lock Fingerprint" from play store.

Thanks a lot Bro. How this fingerprint work? Do we need to swipe finger like original note 4 or just touch on the button like note 7?
Ofcourse its swype coz our note 4 fingerprint sensor is a swype sensor. After successfully doing those steps above, use Applock fingerprint (see the link I provided) :)

No there won't be 2 settings at the same time. I've clearly mentioned before the flashing step u have to delete the "SecSettings2" folder from system/priv-app. (That was ur note 7 settings.) Then it gets replaced by note 4's setting after flashing. You might have not done the steps properly. It has successfully worked for others.

Hey,

do you mind telling me the correct permissions? I am on Norma as well, but after restoring N7 settings, the settings wont show up anymore.

Didn't work for me.

Didn't work for me. Followed the instructions to the letter. Still getting "an error occurred with the fingerprint sensor" message.
