Lenovo Vibe Shot - has 5 inch screen, 3gb ram, Android 5, quality camera. Available on grey import, apparently Amazon US offers this now too.

Good price, I don't know much about Lenovo's Android skin, question marks about the Snapdragon 615 SoC, apparently suffers from similar heat issues as the 810?

An interesting and unexpected contender? ;)

The Amazon page for this phone "4G can not use in USA". That's a deal breaker for me.

According to some rumors (link: www [DOT] omgubuntu [DOT] co [DOT] uk/2015/06/first-ubuntu-phone-with-convergence-is-being-made-by-bq) the second version of "ubuntu phone" from Bq will be a quite powerful one, running hardware built entirely with Ubuntu in mind, with in a "convergence" mode: turning into a PC workstation when keyboard+mouse+display are attached. I hope they won't forget adding a decent camera with optical stabilization as well, which would make it a universal take-me-everywhere absolutely badass phone. Should be announced around October this year.

For Ubuntu it will be the apps that can make or kill it. I love the BlackBerry but some apps cannot run on it and it's a burden. The Z10 I had was great for battery life, way better reception, great camera but a few apps couldn't be ported properly and for that reason I sold it again.

I got my refund for the V2 and bought the Meizu MX4 Pro. No regrets so far. I payed 350$ for the 16GB edition - I know, its not really an alternative to the V2 for the most of you (bigger screen, less memory, not waterproof...), but for me it has some pros: Very good screen (2K), a dedicated audio chip, a very good functioning fingerprint sensor, and a (imo) more appealing design. Thanks to the decent battery I'm able to stream my music from the NAS, so I dont need more memory. Additionally, it took 200 bucks less. Overall, I got that going for me!:)

There is suggestion on the interweb that the Axon is another sub brand of ZTE, which means that it is likely to eventually exist, though the lack of firm specs at this time suggest we're a good few months away from seeing it at least.

Don't know why ZTE would release a further sub brand when they already have the excellent Nubia devices.

It's not going to be cheap. "The Turing Phone will start selling on August 10th priced at $750 for the 64GB model and $870 for the 128GB model. A 16GB version is also in the works, but pricing isn't available yet."

I first saw something about this probably 2-3 months ago. So who knows when it will actually be available, if ever. And between the high cost and other reasons I don't remember anymore, I wasn't all that interested when I looked at it before.

Been searching for a while now, for an alternative to the V2. At the moment I think this seems to be a good one.

Good phone if you want something cheap. But I wouldn't compare it to the V2.

Does this have the UK LTE bands? It doesn't have the US ones. I won't consider a phone without the T-Mobile US LTE bands.
