Lots of nice specs, but... MediaTek.Been searching for a while now, for an alternative to the V2. At the moment I think this seems to be a good one.

And it is still toooooo big! I think the Nexus 5 2015 is going to be the best bet for me. The g3 I recently bought can probably hold me over until then.Lots of nice specs, but... MediaTek.My MediaTek tablet is the only Android device I have that I can't easily root, so I'm steering clear of MT chips now.
The Jiayu S3 comes pre-rooted. You just have to enable it in the settings.Lots of nice specs, but... MediaTek.My MediaTek tablet is the only Android device I have that I can't easily root, so I'm steering clear of MT chips now.

I posted a link to that awhile ago. I think it could be a worthy alternative.Honor 7

Pretty sure this was already mentioned a couple pages back. And between the 5.5" screen (not to mention qHD), 32GB non-expandable memory, and non-removable battery, this really isn't that great a phone IMO. Certainly not what I'm looking for in a phone. This looks very interesting. ZTE Axon

I was just looking at that one today because a lot of blog posts popped up about it. For $450 it's an excellent value but it doesn't have a microSD slot and it only has 32gb of built in storage. Also it's not water resistant and it's a little big for my taste. This looks very interesting. ZTE Axon

It's great that it can record 4k video but with no expandable memory and only 32gb of built in storage and no microSD slot, recording long 4k videos is out of the question.Pretty sure this was already mentioned a couple pages back.
