Is there a way to get the AOD to disable when DND is enabled? The Settings button at the bottom of the main screen in the OPAodMod app references "do not disturb," is that one of the Chinese settings in the app somewhere?

Had this running on my 7 pro when on Android 9 but after upgrade to Android 10 can't even install exposed or tai chi without a bootloop. Thanks for any help you can provide in advance.

Can confirm this works pretty flawlessly on OOS10 with TaiChi. Magisk installed, no Xposed.

The only niggle is that the Now Playing displays in Chinese but if you can live without this then no problems. I have tried playing with the options (including the Force English option) to no avail.

AOD reacts to the proximity sensor being covered and also auto-adjusts brightness. Works when pressing power button to lock and also works with DT2L on Nova launcher using root method.

Can't comment on battery life yet but I imagine it will take a hit, which is to be expected.

There are a few different AOD styles which is appreciated, however not sure why on earth anybody would use the DVD style!

Thanks for posting this. :victory:

Edit: another thing I wanted to add, the fingerprint reader works brilliantly from the AOD, the fingerprint icon is invisible but when you press your finger it appears and unlocks beautifully. No brightness flicker like custom ROMs seem to have at the moment.

You should not notice any issue with battery life
Extremely easy on battery

Works incredibly well on my Oneplus 7 pro with the lastest version downloaded here: https://www.coolapk.com/apk/com.retrox.aodmod
Installed TaiChi Magisk Module from Magisk itself and the app from here: https://www.taichi-app.com/index_en.html

Only thing is color customization seems to be buggy in the latest version, but there seems to be frequent updates.

Edit: After rebooting the phone the color customization problem is fixed, I'll update when I have some stats on battery consumption.

How is that different from regular built-in aod if you don't mind me asking? I would think oos aod plus something like plus beat is much better option. Am i missing something?.
OP doesn't have aod. It has ambient display. This apk is the closest to aod you can get to on OP at the minute with the advantage of turning itself off through timing and/or pocket mode to save battery. Other apks like NotifyBuddy, etc also disable "OK google".

Hi, can you detail exactly what are the steps and files needed?
Thanks.

Hi, can you detail exactly what are the steps and files needed?
Thanks.
Sure:
I first installed TaiChi Magisk Module through Magisk Manager directly, installed and rebooted my phone. Then installed the app from here: https://www.lanzous.com/i6rvpxc
Opened and gave the needed authorizations.
Then downloaded and installed the AODMod from here: https://www.coolapk.com/apk/com.retrox.aodmod
Opened the app, went through the setup which needs you to give specific authorizations and hook it to TaiChi (everything should be blue as shown in the attached image).
I would suggest to reboot your phone once you've setup everything.

If you need any more help, feel free to ask.

Other than that, battery consumption seems to be pretty high, about 3-4%/h even with DC Dimming turned on. To me, the culprit probably is the refresh rate not going down. Don't know if it's even possible to do that through an app like this, or if it is hardware related. Hopefully we'll have a solution for a low battery consuming AOD in the future, either by Oneplus themselves or someone who can figure out how to do it.

Passing Safetynet without any issue.
Amazing, thanks!

Would you be willing to try forcing 60hz on your phone for a short bit to see if the refresh rate really is the culprit to the battery issue? I would myself but I have a non-pro OnePlus 7, so 60hz only
