UK Note 10 pro user here and the AOD - or lack of it - is really irritating. I've also contacted support but have yet to receive a reply. Hopefully they'll fix this issue with an OTA update. At least for now I have notifications working using a 3rd party app (aodNotfiy)

I'll report back if/when I hear back from Xiaomi.

Does your phone need to be rooted to use Magisk?

Yes magisk is the easiest way. It must be rooted and the modules are only to use with magisk.

I wouldn't go as far as to say it is the easiest way, as I have to root my phone (and I haven't bothered to root my phone's since the RN 2) so forgotten how to do it...

Has anybody experienced or discovered that Redmi Note 10 AOD doesn't stay as intended? Supposedly to stay On Always but after few seconds after locking the phone, the AOD switches off.

I've finally had a response from Xiaomi on Twitter and it's at last getting looked at (see last post/screenshot in this thread) i'd advise yourself (and any other RN10 users) to post your experience with this lack of feature to @xiaomisupport on Twitter.

Turning off MIUI optimizations has disadvantages. Biggest was that file associations do not work anymore, for me it was nearly impossible to open pdf files. In my opinion it is a bad idea.

The issue is still present even in the Note 11.

Can someone provide me a link to working magisk modul for miui 13? i'm on latest german stock miui 13.0.14 only rooted with magisk.
Old module for miui 12 will not work anymore?

maybe you can try, this one works on miui 13, you can choose 10 min or always or scheduled work
this is a Magisk module, so you need to have rooted device via Magisk
