Amazfit GTR 2e incredibly laggy

Is it your experience too that with any watchface and any setup the watch is extremely slow in its animations? I'm talking 8 fps or less. If I do the quick settings gesture in 300 ms or so I often can't even see more than one frame of animation.

Is this normal or is my watch defective?

I used gts 2e for a month. Didn't notice any lag.

No such feeling. I am extremely happy with my GTR2e especially it's battery life.
