Which model do you have? Ive been trying with a Moga Hero Power and Amazon FireTV doesn't find it in A or B mode.

Remote issues with FireTV

Has anyone experienced an issue when you use your fire tv and click up or down, it'll repeat like it has the pad is stuck. At first it wasn't bad but now it seems worst of all. What i mean is, i hit "UP" and it'll do it more than 1 time. in XBMC it seems really bad.

Appreciate any help on this.

Actually i think i figured out what this might be. Since this is bluetooth and Infrared tech, maybe xbmc is trying to use both.

Just an idea.

best version for directv: tablet or phone?

Yes, Both phone and tablet versions. But you'll need a keyboard and mouse to play nice and sign in.

Does it matter which apk is used for best resolution? tablet or phone version?

I've installed the latest version of xbmc to my fireTV (kodi 14 helix alpha 3).
I am really happy with all the features and things.

The only Issue I have: I am only getting Stereo Adio signal at my reciever. So does anybody know a tweak, or sth I might missed.
I even tried to adjust the amount of Audio Chanels in Settings to 7.1, but it doesn't help.
In addition I disabled True Audio in Fire Tv settings itself.

And as a last option I enabled and disabled the "passtrough" audio optin within a playback.

Hopefully some one have a hint. Thx in advance.

Sorry, I have no answer concerning your problem. Did you try 13.2 before switching to 14 helix alpha 3? Any improvements?

With this Version I have much more audio settings within the XBMC/SPMC - Now it seems working. But I would recommend the major version of XBMC instead of this "special version" (and older Version 12 // found newer Version 13.3.2) - So do you think it is possible with XBMC, too?

Due to the fact it seems that for other users XBMC is working fine.

I am using the standard XBMC 13.2 with the confluence skin. I get a lot more options to choose from, especially when I activate the expert mode in the audio settings. What happens if you choose confluence as skin? Do you see more options to choose from?

No, sadly not. But how to enter the expert Mode. This might be the gap here.

As I said, I am on 13.2. If you enter System -> System -> Audio-Ausgabe and go all the way down on the left side of the GUI you can switch the mode from standard to advanced or expert.

Yeah found it a few seconds ago. after reflashing the XBMC. So this looks pretty good. Will test.

After Testing with some setting it works.
with passtrough and AAC as well as DTS enabled. Ok really thank you.

Now I have to reset all my other settings, I've made before testing Audio capabilitys

Leave the speaker configuration to 2.0. While in the audio settings, all the way on the bottom left corner you will see an option for 'settings level'. I don't remember what it set as default, but change it to 'expert' level. Only then will you be able to see the Dolby Digital and DTS check boxes.

Wanted to report that the wireless X360 controller with the USB receiver works.

When you plug it in, it goes a little crazy in the menu but stops after a few seconds. The light on the receiver stays on all the time and the green circle on the controller always flashes, but I played Riptide with it for several minutes and didn't have an issue.

Can you connect up to 4 controllers with it?

I'll save everyone the trouble before they ask, Popcorn time for android doesnt work on the FireTv .

You need mouse to select content but it wil never display properly

Playback is now fine in version 2.3.2, still needs a mouse or air mouse to be able to use the GUI

I got my fire tv on the launch day in UK. I installed spmc and xbmc on it but not able to get dts working correctly. I am having some very strange behaviour as below, I listed what works and what doesn't work. Can some one please help me resolve this?

Movies in xbmc play fine. I tried files with audio formats of dd, dts, dtshdma, dolby true hd. All play fine.

Once I play a file with DTS or DTS-HD MA audio, all XBMC navigation sounds stop, I get no sound from AAC and MP3 audio. I can get the sounds working again by switching the AV receiver to a different input and switching back. This doesn't just impact xbmc, but once I get out of XBMC, there is no sound in Fire TV too until I switch the inputs. Or if I restart fire tv, it works too.

I am able to reproduce the issue by playing any file with DTS or DTS-HDMA audio. The only way I was able to get this working is to disable the "DTS capable receiver" option in audio settings which is not ideal. I have my audio settings as 2 channels, keep audio device alive 1 min, enable passthrough and DD & DTS capable receiver. My fire tv is connected to an onkyo tx nr626 AV receiver. It is currently set to process any stereo it receives as DTS Neo 6 Cinema and any multi channel input is delivered directly without processing. I have tried latest versions of gotham and spmc with same results.

I havent paired more than one but if you buy a xbox 360 wireless gaming receiver it'll work with the xbox 360 controller. I bought an OEM one and have heard that 3rd party ones might not work.

im using an OEM microsoft adapter and i get the same thing. i have rechargable batteries so i dont care how fast it drains.

Ok , steps I took after your post:
1. powered down everything (fireTV and xbox 360 controller)
2. powered up firetv , waited a minute then fired up a controller by pushing the big round xbox button thingy in the middle

FireTV seems to immdiately recognize it as a "controller" as it pulled up a sort of gaming area and I can move around with my xbox 360 controller.

One issue I have is that now my xbox 360 controller has a constantly blinking "halo" around the round xbox button (**NOT the rotating low battery indictator)..... seems that would drain the battery quite a bit faster right? Does yours do this? anything I'm missing here? (again It's NOT the low battery warning either, I just put new batteries in, it's the warning that it is ATTEMPTING to connect to a console but presently isn't able to) I'm using it to control the Fire TV but it still isn't happy and that light is blinking

So has anybody tried to pair/use/play more then one (2-4) wireless Xbox 360 controllers to a single FireTV with any single USB Receiver ??? Or thru a USB hub 2-4 controllers paired to a 2-4 USB receivers ?? Feedback please.

try passing through audio to a TV and see if you experience the same issue... i bet its your stereo receiver causing the issue, maybe turn off keep audio alive and try again too.
