Guys I was being an idiot and one of the downloads were corrupted. So basicly I flashed a corrupted bootloader and now when I press the power button nothing happens, do you guys know of a solution?

Ouch. Not an easy solution that I know of. Only solution I'm aware if right now is hardware based and not for the squeamish.

Ouch!

I really am not comfortable with doing that.

Would buying a fastboot cable help?
i had a similar problem, when I originally flashed all the files the kindle didnt boot only came up with a "flat" battery symbol, I charged it for a while then I got the kindle fire logo repeatedly flashing, I got a fastboot cable and pushed my backed up boot, system and restore .img files to it.
Couldnt hurt to spend £5 on a fastboot cable and try it

Many Thanks for this.
I was a little hesitant trying to update my KF2, especially with the multiple warnings of bricking newer devices (mine was a 10.4.8 build).

Followed these instructions to the letter and now have a CM10 build KF2. Now free from Amazon shackles.

Brilliant work.

Thanks again.

Same here, I have a Kindle Fire 2 with 10.5.1 (I don't remember what was the stock version).
I managed to root it without problems, and now I'm wondering if it's possible to install a custom rom without a fastboot cable. Thank you!
