I am hoping that someone might take a look at extracting the new Amazon MP3 Application from the new T-Mobile Official 3.14.531.1 ROM? The old AmazonMP3.cab thats been around forever never worked: meaning it searched, but would not authenticate an Amazon Account, so you couldn't "buy" songs with it, making it essentially useless. But the new one works splendidly - I installed the Official TMOUS ROM 3.14 just to test this app, and I can say it works well. I was able to register my Amazon account, purchase songs, and they appeared in the Sense Music player right away. This is how a "Media Savvy" device is SUPPOSED to WORK, for cryin out loud!
I tried copying everything over, but never could get it working on my current ROMs - it has parts in it labeled "Resco"??? and I ALMOST got it, but it fails on last step of authentication, even after creating all the Reg keys (well, the ones I could figure out from the Official ROM anyway. Looks like it uses some public key encryption in the transaction, and thats where I got in too deep for my feeble mind.... ANYONE want to take this on? It would be SO NICE to get this one working without (shudder) having to run a stock ROM, LOL!!
