Hello,
this thread is for our Android TV Box (AMLOGIC S905w, X96mini, Tanix TX3mini).
Here I would like to collect all related firmwares, recoveries, updates, information etc. and discuss with you.

I spent a couple of days working on this box and found out a lot about this box. I searched some addresses on the internet and collected all helpful data.
I hope it will make it easier for some users to deal with the box.
Unfortunately my english is not the best, sorry for this.

I am also not a developer and I have no programming knowledge!

PS: I´m working only on X96 mini 2GB 16GB Version (Only difference is that with Tanix TX3 mini a clock display zip file be installed must)

Hello everybody,
I decided to finish this thread for myself. Unfortunately, I noticed that many here just want to earn money for support or ask for donations. That was never my intention. If someone wants to spend a coffee, it's okay, but it should not be that you donate money here so you get access to various things or updates. Support here on xda should be free in my opinion.
I will leave everything here in the thread the way it is. It comes from me here, nothing new anymore.

Remote on Oreo:

1. Get factory code and scancodes by using Terminal Editor.
- Open Terminal and type: su
- Type in dmesg -c (dmesg = see the log and -c = clean log memory)
- Next click any button on ir remote and type in Terminal Editor again dmesg -c
- You should see the code of your IR remote. For example, Power button: 0xfebf4001
0xfe01 is the custom code and the 40 is the scancode for the power button.
- Now you have to do this for every button of your remote control and note down which scan code belongs to which button.
- After do this we can Edit the "remote2.tab" (Vendor/etc/remote2.tab)
- Here we replace our factory and scan codes, save it and reboot.... Your IR remote should now work!

I attached a picture with my scancodes for my remote control, maybe this will help one or the other.

I have not tested all the features of any firmware, but they all ran smoothly, no crashes or reboots.

I remember that one of these firmware 1xUSB connection did not work and another firmware did not work the IR sensor.

The X96 mini has different ports and hardware than the other box and no front display (only LED), no Bluetooth etc.

I can not promise that all firmware works 100%.

Each firmware was made for a particular device with its hardware.

Today I tested Libreelec DUAL BOOT ... Yes it works ... Only the IR remote control does not work. Maybe you can change the remote conf there. I am not an expert.

You can only run/boot the twrp img from sd Card at the moment.

I havent tested to Copy/install to System.
For me it worked to Boot from sd...

Install the zip File in recovery....

Thanks. Flashed zip through default recovery and it worked.
Installed Tanix TX3 mini firmware, and it's lot better than X96 mini firmware. Recommended.

Only small issue I faced is, media key (play, pause, next, previous etc) on remote not working on TX3 mini firmware. Else, everything seems working perfect or even better than X96 mini firmware.

Somehow, forgot to back-up remore.conf file from last firmware.

So, one more request. can you place remote.conf file from X96 mini and TX3 mini in first post.

Since you are doing all nice and useful compilation, this will also be quite useful to all users.
