An Operating system wasn't found.

1) i downloaded 64bit remix os for my pc
2) i did everything correctly and i followed the guide in the installation video
3) i installed it on my hard drive from my flash drive
And installed the OS and then the PC booted up. I chose remix OS, And booted into remix and i tried to install the play store activator thing and in the guide it said to reboot is needed and so i did and now i have this error An operating system was not found

This is ancient but comes up high in google search so I'll answer it.

The problem is that the bootable partition on the USB drive is not marked "active".

If you're running Windows, the solution is
- insert USB drive
- launch Computer Management (e.g. click Start button and type it, or compmgmt.msc)
- select Storage/Disk Management on left pane
- right click on the "Android-x86" partition and select "Mark Partition as Active"
