I did second test with my stock and Andida batteries and it showed what Andida battery same like stock or worse.

I launched a film on my DHD with maximum brightness with different batteries and i got same value (i mean %) between them at the end of film.

I also bought this Andida a couple of months ago and I was disappointed with the final capacity, because Battery Monitor Widget Pro showed me about 1123 mAh.

It's not worth the money.

I was wondering: Does this battery act strange?

We (the crazy folks using an Evo 3D battery) have those strange behaviours where the percentage stops dropping at 15% and stays on that number for a very very long time.
Ultimately that means that Battery Monitor Widget doesn't get correct infos about how much juice can be pressed into that battery and instead of the promised 1900mAh it reports something between 1500mAh and 1700mAh.

i'm fine with 1500+ mAh so i havent tested it but i wonder if BMW would report 1230mAh for the stock battery.

I recall reading that the capacity of the battery is hardcoded (possibly in systemUI.apk) and you'd have to decompile it to change the value!

That makes it a bit of a challenge, using any other battery in the DHD and getting good stats from the OS. The only way to objectively confirm improvement would be to time 100% to the phone switching off, in flight mode, WiFi off etc and with the screen permanently on, with stock battery and whatever alternative you may be comparing.

There is a thread in this forum on using the oversize Evo battery, you need to trash the battery cover (not a problem, they are cheap on eBay) and the battery is held in via a protective case, so they say. That is, if you are not already using a protective case, you'd need one. Sounds intriguing...

You are using an Evo3D battery in your Desire HD?
Yes. Read the corresponding thread on that subject in this subforum. I provided some pictures of the modification too.

Could you please tell me what you mean by 'a very very long time' ?

12 hrs or more?

I'm thinking about buying one too.
I use llama to switch on mobile data for 5 minutes every hour (you could split that up to 1 minute every 15 minutes) to recieve whatsapp texts and emails from three accounts.
That way i get 1% per hour between 100% and 15%.

The phone will be on 15% for 12.5 hours with this setup.

Then is descents to 8% like normal and hangs again.

We don't know why it happens so i wanted to ask you guys if you have the same effect since your battery was made for the DHD unlike the Evo 3D battery.

The Mugen 1500 mAh Battery has good reviews, as far as I know.

Totally stay away from Andida 1800 or those "Gold Business" batteries, they're just mislabeled and can't hold their promises.

Juist like all the other 'better' batteries.

To be honest:

Use your original power cell, everything else is just a disappointment.

Andida 1800mAH sounds do good to be true. With such a battery there would be no reason for me to switch to a new phone
Reading through the posts in this thread, the Andida battery claims ARE too good to be true.

That is, they are not true.

Your options are:
- Install an efficient ROM,
- Tweak power saving settings,
- and if you still need to, buy a Mugen 1500mah battery (or squeeze a bigger battery into the compartment).

I bought a battery from China for the DHD just over a year ago. I think it claimed to be 1500 or 1600mah at the time. I would say it lasted 15% shorter in time than than the stock battery and after 3 months useage it died! I replaced it with a second stock battery and both are still going strong. I would never buy another cheap one from China!

Mugen is AWESOME!!!
i bought few dirt cheap batteries from china too, but after a few months of usage, they bloated up. Heard it is due to overcharged. To sum up, IT SUCKS!!!
