The one he sold me was a bad IMEI T-mobile V40 almost new. He open the back, change another 845 CPU to unlock Bootloader, and remove the network lock of sim card, he refuse to tell me the mechanism or he maybe did not know it, just know how to do it. Then he increase the ram and rom to 8+128 by changing them, modify the phone to be Dual-sim version, and change the battery with the V50's 4000mah.

and you still bought it? lol.. surprised the phone is even working..

you sure the phone is not a random chinese copy?

It works well.
I have dual-sim needs, and now the battery is very good. I can use 2-3 day after charging one time.
I try to flash Havoc ROM, it works. I use about 2 days and flash back to EU 30B LG kdz.
It 's a better version V40 for me, I can have that good screen, long battery life, and dual-sim both have volte.
Big ram to work very fast, 128GB rom space is enough for me.
And I have root right and magisk, xposed to install the modules I need.

Just correct some of the V40 disadvantages.

What model of this phone is best if I want flash lineage os?

All but i prefer korean model for a better support and easier to unlock bootloader us model are suck some of them cant unlock bootloader too

If you look in the thread re this subject, it states clearly 'unlock bootloader all versions but t-mo'. So, no 'us model are suck' isn't true. 1 of them, and it's always been this way with lg phones, the t-mo version, isn't unlockable.

keep in mind with lineage, it will need to have the correct firmware version u flash on top of. Some flash over Pie and some over Q. So you'll want to have the appropriate firmware version available for your device that (your desired version) lineage can flash over.

cheers

Hi, I've got an LM-V409N (flashed to LM-V405UA) and I've been having issues with Bluetooth audio. I have a pair of Galaxy Buds (I believe they are the original first generation, not the second generation or the Plus) and while they pair fine, control volume and tracks fine, no audio actually plays. I noticed that "BT Audio in some situations" was marked under Not Working, so I was wondering if there is anything I can do to fix the issue, or if its just a random sort of thing.

Thanks,
Peter

Was digging for answers but it's been like that for months. I had to turn on dev mode to get my Android Auto to work.

    Updated with screenshots ^^
Hi, I tried to do that but phone won't boot its in boot loop, and now I'm trying to go back into twrp it won't let me since I think I didn't inject twrp while flashing the rom. Also download mode doesn't work either when I tried to do the chicken dance to reset the phone, I got some ATT V405ua with me, can I back up some files and restore on this phone so at least I can get back to tWRP?

I tried to flash the twrp using QFIL but that didn't work either, I dont know how to nuke the laf so I didn't try that method.

Some guidance on how to get there.

    I'm currently running a Sprint V405UA cross-flashed to LG v405QA. This is a 20e Pie build.

How do I get from 20e Pie to 10 firmware if there is no 10 firmware for the LG v405QA?

Do I crossflash to one of the only 10 versions I can find first, then over to Lineage 17.1?

    Is that the procedure?

Were you ever able to do this? I'm in the same situation with the same Sprint V405UA cross-flasshed to V405QA. I downloaded a European V405EBW KDZ but LGUP rejected it when I tried to flash. I guess I could load the Verizon Q KDZ and use that as my starting point.

Which stock rom is installed on slot a? And what is the exact version?

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 10.0, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.

      Code:
      #include "std_disclaimer.h"
      /*
       * Your warranty is now void.
       *
       * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
       * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
       * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
       * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
       * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
       */

      What's working:
      • RIL (Calls, SMS, Data)
      • Fingerprint
      • Wi-Fi
      • Bluetooth
      • Camera
      • Video Recording
      • Video Playback
      • Audio
      • Sensors
      • Flash
      • GPS
      • DAC
      • Vibration
      • Wifi Hotspot
      • Selinux enforcing

      What's not working:
      • BT Audio in some situations

Where are the features? (LOS18.0 edition)
      • LineageOS 18.0 is in early development process so don't complain about xyz features missin or crashing!

      Instructions:
      • you flash in TWRP
      • you DONT inject TWRP (yet, when TWRP is made for metadata, then you can)
      • you reboot to other lots recovery (atm thats lineage one)
      • there you HAVE TO format data/factory reset
      • then you can install gapps and so (by apply update and adb sideload)
      • then boot system

      Reporting Bugs
      • DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
      • Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
      • If it is a random reboot, grab dmesg . (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
      • If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log

Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues.
