I'm not sure what delays you're talking about - in my usage, I haven't encountered any delays except the occasional one from Lawnchair and that's because that's even more alpha than AOSP 10 is at this point.

The only big issues I'm aware of are either bugs in AOSP itself (notifications fail in some of the default apps because it seems that they don't present a proper notification channel to the system and so their notifications get dropped - dialer, messaging, and probably the clock; I don't use them anyway and just install the Google ones myself), or missing notification sounds by default (configure them yourself, easy enough to do - the sound files are included, but the default resource paths are incorrect, which I'll get in one of the next builds). And of course, you have to install the apps you want since the bundled Gapps package only includes play store.

And "artificial wheel"? Huh?

How did you get the Code and how did you install it? I mean, how do you root your huwaei mate 9?
Thanks
Ok, But you can unlock the bootloader. You just have to get the Code. I have now get the Code. But i want the Android 10.
It is really sad that it has to do without the latest version. Was really a great Smartphone.

seems there is some news!

PS: Oh my. I'm not allowed to post external links. Just look for mate 9 at "huaweicentral com"
I don't want to be naysayer, but there was a similar story with Huawei P9 and P9+ and Oreo/no Oreo story: first it looked Nougat was the last, then Oreo was lately announced (later than two years from P9 launch, thus at the time when Huawei provides no more major upgrades), but finally it was published only for China (AL00, AL10, DL10..., not for Lx9), and even then two further Oreo OTA updates came for China

However, it was possible to rebrand non-China P9 and P9+ to China and to install their Oreo, but it required root hacked patches to get it fully working with internation mobile operators (although Google Play, languages and modem bands were in Chinese Oreo) and to properly remove Chinese navigation and some other stuff to make room for Google Maps with location sharing and Google Assistant, so to make it the proper international Oreo for P9 and P9+

I have OpenKirin AOSP 10 Preview 2 build installed. Plain and simple. After putting a pixel launcher on, it works fine for me.

hello, In the description of the ROM it says that there is a bug to the camera, do you confirm it? after a few days that you are using it, do you still find yourself well?

I have since moved to AEX Beta 1 P1 (Minimal GApps), which is also Android 10 with Pixel theme that I like. I have been using this version for several months now. Camera works. The only bug I encountered is that after the SIM switch, carrier's APNs (Access Point Name) are not automatically configured the first time. so i have to type them in manually.

I'm using this build too but when I view content horizontally, there is a black bar present, presumably for a phone with notch, which is quite annoying.

did you root AEX Beta 1 P1 ? How to root this? One time I tried to go back to the stock 9.1 rom, but was unable to do it.
No I did not root my device. I think you can go back to stock by booting into recovery and select the `Download latest version and recovery` option.
