No I did not root my device. I think you can go back to stock by booting into recovery and select the `Download latest version and recovery` option.
It didn't work for me. It failed and said something like this update is not for this device. I went back the stock C432 9.0.1.191 after extracting 9.0.1 and flashing 3 files from AEX based on android 10. I flash C432 from official US version C567 version 8. When I tried to flash C432 9.1 it failed. I guess I am stuck at 9.0.1 for C432.

I suspect something on the phone is not completely C432 EU version, when I used the beta-flashy. Not sure who have knowledge on this., to completely make my phone C432 EU version.

Has anyone tried GSI android 10 roms on this device yet? I'm planning on installing pixel experience 10 plus GSI. But I don't know if twrp 3.2 supports Android 10. And I've been searching for twrp 3.4 port but no luck. Why isn't the mate 9 supported by team win? I mean the mate 8 has the latest official version of twrp to date! It's frustrating. I just wanna flash this pixel experience rom so badly, any ideas?

TWRP official support for Mate 8 is probably for the ancient MM (or Nougat).
It was the similar case for P9 - offical TWRP worked only on MM and caused bootloop on Nougat.
Only unofficial TWRPs worked on Nougat and Oreo

For newer EMUI, search on XDA for (unoffical) ports. Year ago, latest for Mate 9 was M9+TWRP+3.2.1-0+Black+&+Blue+Android+9.img - old TWRP 3.2.1 but supporting latest EMUI 9

That is important - different EMUI versions mean different partition schemes (names, sizes, encryptions) - using wrong TWRP for wiping or installing cause bootloops

It's odd tho, there's no official mate 9 img not even for older versions of android.

I did find twrp 3.2 unofficial img but I was cerious if there is a newer build since I'm on emui 9.1. Anyways thanks for the info. Will try it out and see if it'll work.

I just installed treble gsi 10 with no problem via fastboot. You need:

- original eRecovery installed
- bootloader unlocked
- uncompressed treble image (ex: decompress https://github.com/phhusson/treble_...ad/v222/system-quack-arm64-aonly-gapps.img.xz)
- fastboot binaries

To install:

- enter in eRecovery (power+vol up) and wipe all
- enter in fastboot (power+ vol down) and type
fastboot erase system
fastboot flash system
where
is your treble system.img file
- reboot

Did you face any bugs/issues using this build?
