Hey guys, so I have this Root process that I've tried and tested on the A80 as well as many other Samsung devices and can confirm that it works 100% every time. This post is simply to assist those who cannot get the root process to work correctly for them and is slightly simplified. Please forgive me if it is a bit long but like I said this is a step-by-step guide for newcomers or anyone who it may help...

This is a 12 step procedure that must be followed carefully but before anything; ***Download vbmeta file and flash it to device via Odin in AP section***.

1. First, get the stock boot.img for the current firmware (presumably Android 10 if updated to latest firmware) installed on your Android device by extracting the boot.img.lz4 from the AP file in stock firmware. (On PC).
2. Secondly, extract the boot.img from boot.img.lz4 using 7zip. (On PC).
3. Transfer the extracted boot.img file to the phone’s internal or external storage from your PC.
4. Download the latest Magisk Manager APK file and install it on your device.
5. Now launch the ‘Magisk Manager’ app.
6.Tap on the ‘Install’ button and choose ‘Install’ again.
7. Select "Select and patch a file" in magisk manager app. Now search for the boot.img in your phone's internal or external storage (wherever you stored it from your PC) and select it.
8. Now wait for magisk manager to patch the boot.img. Once complete it will store the "magisk_patched" file in your downloads of internal storage.
9. Copy the "magisk_patched" file to your PC, rename it to boot.img and use 7zip to create a boot.img.tar file.
10. Load the newly created boot.img.tar file into the AP section of Odin, reboot device (A80) into download mode, plug phone into PC and click start on odin.
11. Immediately hold Vol. Up and Power once Odin flash is complete and screen goes black. This is to boot into recovery.
12. Wipe Data/Format from stock recovery mode. Reboot to System as usual.

YOUR GALAXY A80 IS NOW ROOTED.

If the regular Magisk Manager isn't working for you with the latest android update, use Magisk Manager Canary build instead. Once you've installed the manager, head into the settings and change the update channel into Canary. After which, you may proceed with patching the AP file. It worked for me when the regular Magisk Manager failed everytime I tried.

FOR THE PEOPLE WHO IS FIRST TIME RUNNING ROOTED AND WITH HAVE A MAGISK

HERE IS THE CAUTION BEFORE YOU FLASH ANYTHING USING MAGISK OR DO TONS OF THAT CAN SOFTBRICK

1. Don't flash droidguard/microgms in the magisk this caused my device's google apps crashed a lot.
2. Don't flash custom/modified service.jar, I already tried this one and it doesn't work and it caused a minor problem.
3. Don't change your fingerprint value since stock is working and it passes safetynet.
4. Don't flash quickswitch in magisk module, this one causes systemUI crashes and confusion.
5. If you flash that all above this message, one day your phone will give up and it will refuse to boot into system,
but you can boot into download mode. Hence I tried that all in my device and days passing my apps are crashing,
longer boot and google all apps is not working.

For the people who is tester of twrp and other mods:
1. If the testing recovery.img (twrp) is not booted, then flashing stock recovery.img will never be the solution, flash the all firmware except CSC to fix the booting problem. I tried this one too, I made some twrp testing img file and flash it to my device then bootloop then reflash the stock recovery.img and it doesn't boot into recovery mode, instead it booted directly into system. This will cause the system fail after some few days without proper recovery.img

I hope you will see this caution and will save some time and save some phone to soft-brick.

Need help with finding firmware for Galaxy A80

I have followed all instructions and managed to root it successful after a few tries. However, in doing so, I had flashed the stock A80 bootloader instead of my original one, which is unavailable elsewhere. My exact model number is SM-A805FCKY/XSP. CKY is the blackpink edition subtype for which i am unable to find a ROM for it. Otherwise, is somebody able to crack the theme and boot splash image?
