Update 3 (I think)...
I finally managed to flash RevengeOS-3.1-Q-BETA4-zippo-20200119 (the old ROM)
I had to restore the phone from EDL a few times...
I don't know what I did wrong...
Maybe I had a bad version of ZUI??? (can someone post a good link?)
Anyway, after a LOOOONG day (and night), I finally managed to get my phone up and running again (although now I need to find a good SD card recovery tool after an accidental SD card formatting in TWRP...)

I finally managed to flash the new ROM!

So here is the story:
I downloaded the ZUI 269 by @alexeei (installer_fastboot_269.rar) from https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=299265
But after flashing this ROM I get TWRP error 8 (can't mount data - or something like that), I googled the error, and fount that the ROM encrypts the data partition, and I can't flash anything...

So here are the steps that I took:
1. Copy these files to the SD card: Revenge ROM (I had to edit a file, see post 39), Q.zip (see post 38), open_gapps-arm64-10.0-nano (I chose the Nano to not include YouTube), and Magisk-v20.3.zip for root
2. Flash a stock ROM with QFIL (My choice was ROM_ZUI_11.0.483_QPST)
3. Flash the Fastboot ROM with 2 edits:
First, I replaced the vbmeta.img with a custom one
Then I edited the 00_FLASH_ALL.bat to include "fastboot –-disable-verity –-disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.img"
4. Flash TWRP recovery
5. At this point the data partition will be encrypted (you will see 0mb in size), formatting the partition as FAT then reformatting as ext4 will fix that
6. Flash the ROM (don't reboot until everything is flashed), then gapps, then Q, and lastly Magisk

It took about 3-5min the phone rebooted 1 time, but now I have a fully working ROM (with root)!

optional steps (after initial setup):
7. install Root Checker to verify root
8. Open Magisk Manager and install YouTube Vanced (a YouTube version without ads) - disable auto update in Play Store so YouTube will not get updated to the regular version
9. Install F-Droid (a Play store alternative)
10. Install AdAway (to get rid of the ads)

Hi threeeye,

Do you think the ROM is comfortable for daily use? How about the LTE, battery drain?

Hi threeeye,

The LTE is working OK, not too bad...
The battery, most times it charges only till 75%-85% and stops, yesterday was the first time that it charged 97%
But the battery can last about 40 hours

There's a newer version available (Revenge OS 3.2) and it's running great.
Where?

Thank you guys for the encouraging information, I'll try the ROM as early as possible.

The installation process is a bit confusing to me personally so I haven't flashed it yet. But they say they're working on it to make the installation process easier and safer.

It has become easier now that Lenovo released Qfil rom for Zui 11.5.

Here is an unofficial walkthrough I wrote recently as I setup my phone clean. Please if you don't understand what you are doing don't, none of us will be responsible.

- Update up to 11.5.269
If you are not using CN rom, or can't 'officially' get to latest Zui by flashing 11.5.229 with Qfil (https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=303091) and update through OTA to 11.5.269
(If possible don't set password, pin, pattern or fingerprint until booting to revenge as it will encrypt data partition and can lead to tricky situations in TWRP)

- Unlock the BL with Lenovo file to get here :https://www.zui.com/iunlock

fastboot flash unlock sn.img
Fastboot oem unlock-go

- Install TWRP (twrp-3.3.1-32-zippo-mauronofrio: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/twrp-unofficial-twrp-lenovo-z6-pro-t4035987)

I think you need to flash a modified vbmeta (https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=4349826312261699756 or https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=4349826312261717450) (required first time you unlock BL / flash custom recovery I think) so these are the commands from bootloader:

fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.img
fastboot flash recovery twrpXXXX.img

- Reboot recovery
- Format Data
- Install Revenge3.2 (https://osdn.net/projects/revengeos/storage/zippo/RevengeOS-3.2-Q-OFFICIAL-zippo-20200313-1922.zip/)
- Install Open GAPPS A10 / Arm64 / Nano (https://opengapps.org/)
- install Magisk 20.3 (https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/releases/download/v20.3/Magisk-v20.3.zip)

- Reboot (Set pin or pattern)

- Install Magisk module for Zui Cam app + get Google photo from playstore.

Hi,Revenge OS 3.2 installed as described(on base CN Rom 11,5.229,..... without actualisation to CN 11.5.269).. almost everything runing OK, fast, .. notifications works..
The only important flaw- I can not set anything from "device security"... neither "display security"(..PIN, gesture) nor the "fingerprint" is functional.
