In the current circumstances I am glad to have a March security update having used the slot partition change to rollback safely to Pie after a successful update to the buggy 10. Anyone on 10 can use this method to get back to a more stable 9 ROM with March update. It will require a device reset but worth it imo.

In the final reckoning we will see whether Xiaomi get penalised by either Google or customers on future purchases for taking so long to rollout a working Android 10 to an Android One device.

In the here and now I welcome just having a device on a stable ROM which is getting semi-regular security updates. Again time will tell whether missing deadlines on security updates will matter given the current global context.

You can't update as that message says so don't worry for the moment and wait or you can go back to the other memory slot with Android 9 (I suppose) but will lose your settings and maybe data.

My father has updated to Android 10 and the WiFi has become excessively slow (2.6mbps). I have read that on top you cannot downgrade to Android 9 ...: S any more?

You can install the latest stable android 9 stock rom.
You have to go in twrp and wipe the phone then install
daisy_global_images_V10.0.18.0.PDLMIXM_9.0

You might be able to do it with MiFlash but I've never used that tool.

Same thing here, got update notification today in Italy. I'll leave it as it is now, waiting for a proper update.
The new "fixed" Android 10 update also bricking the phones? Or you talking about the fix they supposed to send for those who's have bugged Android 10?

I have no idea, personally I haven't experienced any issue updating to Android 10. I got an update notification saying that it's for Pie users, while Q users have to wait. I'll wait.

Hello, im running a rooted, stock ROM 10.0.9 with butterfly-for-daisy custom kernel. When the android 10 update becomes stable, im interested in flashing it and staying stock for a while. Since im so far behind on stock updates im not sure if i should use miflash with the 10.0.9 stock firmware on my phone and install android 10 or if i should flash the latest version of android 9 before accepting the ota update. Any advice as to what the best method for doing the update are apprecoated

If u have a link for the Android 10 rom (fastboot version), am interested.

As for flashing, using MiFlash isn't a problem - u jus lose everything on the phone at d time u flash.

U cud jus do incremental ota updates to save ur data, although i will advise going back to stock kernel for ota updates

Anyone else observed that audio message recording in whatsapp is broken? Can be fixed by rebooting, but will come back after several messages...fix around?
