Welp, there are now posts on Reddit stating that AT&T officially released their Note 20 Ultra Android 11 full update... But the current rumor is that T-Mobile won't release theirs until January![]()
The carriers usually share a firmware typically. It's all the same build numbers 9/10
Yes and no. There are Caveats. First it depends on the format the update is found if you download using FOTA link it would be a zip that should be sideloaded via ADB or an SD card update from recovery needs to be done for that the problem is Like if there is a source build number in the update you would need to flash that build in Odin first which is a challenge coz ATT does not publish its firmwares so for the same reason we can't download the stable ATT version using Frija. If an Odin flash able version of Stable Android 11 is found anyone can flash that without changing the build numbers as required with FOTA updates. So if someone with an AT&T update could possibly grab the file and upload it then folks could by all means just side load it
Samsung announced a full release delay the other day... So if I had to guess, it probably won't release until the end of January now =/ (which kinda stinks since Beta 3 has A LOT of essential things broken across the board)... Very unstable Camera app, half-broken Bixby routines that manage screen resolution and refresh rate, broken fingerprint scanner and broken Notes app and off-screen memo... Wiping cache or system data via a factory reset fixes the problems for about one day, lol. Faced them all again just a day after my reset =l.
After ATT, Verizon, T-Mob and Sprint have also started pushing stable One UI 3.0 / Android 11 update. It is available on Frija, SamFw tools (For TMB and SPR) but this one is only for carrier locked devices so SM-N986U only. I believe U1 version should be on its way soon too.
What software are you on and is your device showing to be U1 or U.So these should work for me Verizon device then? But I have to roll back to my original Verizon software or how does that work?
Sorry for late reply. I suggest let's wait and check Frija for Verizon Android 11.it wasn't published when I checked few hours back. Just grab that one and flash in Odin use Home_CSC and your data will be fine..You help me load this rememberI know it's hard cause you helped a lot of people also it's U1
Good deal. Thanks broSorry for late reply. I suggest let's wait and check Frija for Verizon Android 11.it wasn't published when I checked few hours back. Just grab that one and flash in Odin use Home_CSC and your data will be fine..
No I am getting error too, even on other tools it's showing error. While SM-N986U1 with VZW (csc) doesn't throw any errors but that is still on Android Q.Any luck on Frija? I keep getting error 102 no matter how I enter it, even for other firmwares on verizon
That's too bad. Hopefully tonight or tomorrow lolNo I am getting error too, even on other tools it's showing error. While SM-N986U1 with VZW (csc) doesn't throw any errors but that is still on Android Q.
Yes, just take care of the carrier for which your phone came packed with like if yours was tmobile U then download 986 U 3.0 for tmob and flash it. If it was AT&T, good lick finding that download as that won't be published and as you must have guessed from above posts Verizon one isn't available for download yet on Frija and other tools. So you are in lick if you were 986U with TMB or SPR csc (may be some others too like TMK, I haven't checked those yet)So random question, I flashed the u1 firmware over my 986u, can I download the 986u 3.0 and flash it over top of u1 without issue? I'm sure it's been answered somewhere but I cannot locate it![]()

Awesome then download using Frija and use Home_CSC when choosing files to flash in Odin and you should be Golden, just that your device will be back to TMB stock like bootscreen,.. splash screen and bloatware from the carrier.Luckily I'm T-Mobile. I'm a little agitated that Samsung didn't push the unlocked version first. You would think they would have.
cd Copy-paste the location of your ADB folder here
adb devices
adb reboot recovery
adb devices
adb sideload Beta1.zip
Updated the link in the first post. The XDA site migration to XenForo messed something up there. Here is the LINKthe adb link no longer works for pre; can someone upload it again?
To be honest i dont even use the app. I have found a good middle path which is I use PWA. Like go to Samsung Note 20 Ultra 5G forum page on Chrome on your phone and then click on three dots and choose Add to Homescreen. You can also do it on Samsung Internet. You can also bookmark the forum page and just open it in the browser. Works really well for me.Gotcha alright well good for fast rollouts. Will be looking for more updates in the future to resolve. I forgot the bugs I have reported so I was unable to check. And I must say. I hate hate the new XDA website and app. Tapatalk was so much better and even the old website.
