I reverted back to tmobile software on my 1915 and immediately got the oos11 ota. Been using it for a about 16 hours now. It's not as smooth as oos10 but glad to report that I've experienced zero bugs. Oos11 global rom on the 1915 however was riddled with bugs.

I was on the official T-Mobile and took the ota and so far so good. The only issue I have is it took away my OP8 wallpapers and it won't install the ones from the thread.

I tried OOS11 once more and found the same old bugs. The phone app bug where the speaker plays through the microphone is still there. I also found calling / connecting to be unreliable. Heavy sigh. Back to OOS10. Probably stay on it until I get another phone - won't be a OnePlus for sure.

Question are we going to need a new rooted boot image for the new 11.0.0.2 update
Not if you're already rooted before installing the update, I think.

Right after you install the update from the update app, don't reboot. Just open magisk and hit install, then choose the option for the OTA something something (I don't remember the exact option)... Reboot after magisk installs successfully.

FWIW I'm still running OB4. IMO, it is better than the "stable" releases. I really like the AOD, and the only minor bug is the (rare) lock-screen resizing, which is easily fixed by a simple reboot. Otherwise, no problems at all with OB4.

Still unsure on whether I should update my T-Mobile GM1915. Has anyone gotten a better experience after updating?

T-mobile released oos11 for the 7 pro. So I reverted back to their version of oos and got the update 3 days ago. It's been perfect. No lockscreen bug, no black screens, no flickering.

I do miss the dual sim slot but I'm sure future versions of global will fix the t-mobile issue lol.

This phone developing is dead, "stable" official builds are buggy af and there is no twrp for 11, just stay on 10 until you get a new phone.

Saw this on the OnePlus forum. For those with the issue where the callers voice comes out the microphone instead of the earpiece, here is something to try: "Stop HearingAidService under Bluetooth running services in Developer options under system. I had the same issue. Hearing aid services are being turned on without Bluetooth being on." Someone on the forum tried it with success. I have gone back to 10 so I cannot test it.

Thanks for posting links to these. I extracted the boot.img but magisk wouldn't patch it. I downloaded and booted the A11 global patched img but the boot animation kept repeating endlessly. My phone is a GM 1917 usa (global) with Stock Android 11 installed from Oxygen updated. The file I downloaded is Patched Boot A11 Global.img. Any Ideas?

From OxygenOS 11 Open Beta 4
    to OxygenOS 11
    without losing your data.

1.) Download and install OxygenOS 11
    2.) Download keep_data.apk
You need to install it after the update was installed but before you restart.

After the apk is installed, run the application, click "KEEP DATA".

You should now be able to restart the phone without losing your data

    P.S.
    All your applications
    and data remain intact

For those coming from open beta 4 with patched boot IMG, how should we update to this release keeping data and trying to keep root(if possible)?
    - Download and install the 11.0.1.1 OTA. When it's done, DON'T REBOOT YET.
    - Open Magisk Manager, click the Install button in the Magisk section, select "Install to Inactive Slot (After OTA)", and click the "Let's Go" button. When it's done, DON'T REBOOT YET.
    - Install keep_data.apk from APKMirror or the links on XDA. Run the KeepData app and click the "Keep Data" button. A success toast should appear. When it does, go ahead and REBOOT.
    - Your phone will not factory reset during boot, and will be rooted as before. Enjoy.

    Moderator Announcement

Especially under the current pandemia situation I can understand that some frustration might lead to a rage. However, I'd appreciate that the content of a post is checked prior to hit the "Post reply" button if the posts shows the respect that we are all due to each other.
Even if nobody is directly offended some wording might hurt feelings especially if somebody's intention was to only help.
    I've slightly cleaned the thread.

An additional remark: If you observe something that does or might violate the XDA Forum Rules, please do not "engage" in the thread. Please only use the report function and allow us to do "our job". This will avoid further possible escalations and only drags the content of a thread away from its real purpose. Thanks for your cooperation.

Please don't direct profanity, sexually explicit language or other offensive content toward Members or their work. Conversely, while reading posts from other members, remember that the word you find offensive may not be offensive to the writer. Tolerance is a two-way street.

2.2 Nudity: XDA is used by people of all ages, including minors. It is unacceptable to post nude or pornographic imagery, which includes the exposure of male or female genitalia and / or female breasts.

2.3 Flaming / Lack of respect: XDA is about sharing and this does not involve virtual yelling (flaming) or rudeness. Flaming or posting with a lack of respect is unacceptable.
