crazy. i have not had any problems with crashes. once i had a situation where i tried to answer the phone and it kept hanging up on me. a reboot fixed that. another time my pull down notification was completely blank. other than that no real problems. that being said i think the general appearance of the UI is a step in the wrong direction. the notification screen is hideous and the animations are terrible. just my take on it.

I have noticed little performance bugs but nothing too huge but can be annoying. Sometimes unlocking the phone I can't swipe or tap anything. Usually happens if I turned off the screen when running Android auto but does happen other times. An easy fix is to just turn off the screen then unlock it again. The camera app definitely has issues when switching between zooms. There's a huge delay and the viewfinder freezes.

One small thing that's bothered me because I did use it often was that beta 3 removed the shortcut to get to the clock app by taping the time in the notification shade.

I definitely have the same problem with the phone locking up until locking it again. Are you having any other issues with AA? My phone would think the app itself was running and would do some funky stuff. It would also show youtube music as just black when unlocking the phone. I enrolled in AA beta and the beta update fixed everything. Just FYI if you are having issues with it.

I do have Android Auto beta actually. No other issues with AA really.

Ok, I took the leap and did a factory reset. Is this what your app drawer search bar looks? I think it's pretty off as it is on mine... :-(

Let's see if the other bugs still exist...

Has anybody had any issues with the alarm clock or a random reboot? I'm on beta 3.1, magisk (canary) and Kirisakura kernel. No extra magisk modules. The other morning I missed 3 alarms :D and when I woke up the last alarm I set was on the screen, but there was no sound at all. (alarm volume is turned up). And last night when I got up I looked at the screen and the "welcome to Android Beta...." message that appears after a reboot was on the screen so my phone seems like rebooted during the night some point...

Just confirming that the bugs are still there... A clean install does not help.
Make sure you're reporting your issues in the A12 feedback app. Also, any apps that are having issues in their feedback in settings, if there is one, or through their feedback email or whatever in the play store. It seems like most folks, at least on here are not having the issues we are. Hopefully, enough of those who are, are reporting so they will fix stuff.

Well the bugs I have are already in the bug tracker here: https://issuetracker.google.com/savedsearches/5938602

The ones that bother me most are

So Beta 3 my device had the Aug Google Play system update. After taking the OTA for Beta 4 and now it's back on the May patch and won't update. Anyone else having this annoyance?

So far it seems like the biggest issues I've been having are fixed. Now I see notification icons on the AOD, no more UI crashes or lockups. However, the notification popups on the AOD are still hit or miss. Overall, much better. Still room to improve though.

Did you guys clean flash the beta or did you install the OTA from the dev page?
I have tons of bugs on mine, having downloaded the OTA from the dev channel.
3.1 has not resolved any of them. I am wondering whether to wipe and do a clean install. The strange thing is that Beta 1&2 worked great for me...
I clean flashed beta 3 twice, still having some issues... 3.1 *mostly* fixed the UI crashes. I still don't get notification popups, nor notification icons on the AOD. It still gets stuck in recents sometimes. Just this morning it did that then locked up the UI for a bit. I'm glad I'm not the only one with issues! Google really needs to fix this stuff.

FYI, to anyone having the Android auto issue where it turns off the AOD and acts like the app is open (shows it is in the notification panel), I got on the AA beta, and the beta install fixed this.

After the second wipe, my battery life is all over the place. Some days it's really good, back to normal, others its just bad. I really hope they push 3.1 this week, and that it has a ton of fixes.
    They pushed 3.1 today.

I'm keen to install but does anybody know if Barclays and Natwest apps work with 12 Beta?
Replying to my own question: yes, they work.

I'm using this Magisk module. It passes safety net and Google pay works.
