General ANDROID 12 / MIUI 13

After updating my Pad 5 to MIUI Global 13.1.2.0.SKXEUXM, the home screen layout settings (4x6, 5x6) disappeared from the System Launcher (4.40.0.5262-08161959).
Any ideas how to restore the missing 5x6 layout settings?
(without replacing the Launcher of course )

Yes. I hate this new layout. The app page is too small too.

So true, feels like holding a phone with 2cm more of screen at the sides. Has anyone tried downgrading it to miui 13.0.6 through the advanced options on the updater? I'm scared of bricking it as I am not unlocking the bootloader until the warranty is over. Maybe getting the system launcher APK from 13.0.6 could work around this though.

downgrading launcher is not possible but you can try miui alpha launcher

There's no alpha for >4.40 that I can find. I guess I will try to downgrade, but dunno how to do it through the updater's custom pkg option

For the ones looking into downgrading, the antirollback index on 13.1.2 is 1, so you should look into the rollback index of th version you want to install.

Mi pad 5 vs ipad
Ipad 9th gen slightly go up because of apple ecosystems
But in android this is the best one in this price range

Sorry if I am misunderstanding something, but how could a Split APK Installer help me downgrade the tablet?

DV not showing up in Netflix / the Google news feed on the left looking like a phone version on a tablet and widgets looking out of place (only 4 rows of icons wide) are the three glaring changes on A12.

How this got through testing i do not understand.

I guess the good hardware/ bad software rings true.

Hopefully it will be fixed but not very hopeful.

This is android 12 i think. Not 12l. I hate the phone layout of the app drower and the app layout in general. Was better before...

Yes mee2, resizing of my "meteogram widget" wasn't possible, and I already thought it was up to me.

For me this is the last update that we will see on this device. I cant believe that this is a final version of a software. The app grid is very ungly and seems impossible to resize the widgets. Why they dont update to android 12l like samsung with their tablet and fold...???
