Because this is Asus... No more Asus, this is last phone.Why are they always one month behind the last security patch?
This firmware release seems more aggressive on closing apps. Spotify Is closed in few minutes not using It.
Tidal keeps in the background in my case. Have you tried changing the battery settings in the Spotify settings such that the phone does not optimize the app for battery?
Haven't experienced that but just got my ZF8 a few days ago and it immediately updated to A12. So I'll know in a week or so of daily use, I suppose.
Running stock rn except adding a few apps off of Fdroid and removing/disabling some of the schmoogle apps that came preloaded.
There are more than a few data and battery per-app options under the app info settings menu, as well as the main battery optimization settings. Hopefully there's a combination that works for you? (Hoping earnestly, since I use Spotify and Brave browser's play video in background features quite a bit.)
I'd be willing to experiment with settings if you want a sounding board.
Incidentally, is there a reliable way to change the default font/add new fonts to the Style menu without root? Seen some old .apks on here but can't tell off the bat if they have the font I'm looking for (the Ubuntu font, freely available from Google Fonts).
Also wondering if there is a way to add additional or custom accent colors (again without root) under the Style menu. Tried ACC on my Pixel with limited results...

So if you use Google Pay, do not update yet. Wait for official release from Asus so we can safely update.
Yes, this is very fresh update. It may have some problems. Google Pay don't work for now. I didn't find any other problems.

What does this mean : Usual when you update GPS Firmware, the first "Lock" to Satellites will take Longer , so if you start navigation or something with gps after this update, may give the Phone 2-3 Minutes time to fix your position (or just start google maps and wait a short time )
