It's the same procedure as always. Download the platform tools for mac from here:

Android SDK Platform-Tools is a component for the Android SDK.

Then, I guess your mac needs to have Rosetta enabled, because those are x64.

Been using this release for a day or two. It's been fine, mostly. As fine as Android 12 is anyway. Performance issues on taimen is very noticeable but that's applicable for all Android 12 ROMs. There is one major issue though, the vibrate mode icon doesn't appear on status bar, unlike Mute icon. It appears after pulling down but that's not the point. I am aware Google has thought of this asininity with Android 12 but I am not sure whether that was fixed on later releases. If it was I would kindly request to put it back in the next release of Proton, should there be any.

I would really appreciate it if anybody can point me to a step-by-step guide (like those that exist for lineage) to install this rom from the stock rom. I ask cause I see there is a lot of stuff about formatting the device differently throughout the thread. I would like to end with having regular recovery (i know i need a custom recovery during the install process) and I'm fine with going through this process for updates after install unless the custom recovery doesn't cause issue with bank apps and google pay.

-reboot > bootloader
- boot to TWRP (I fastboot boot TWRP)
- wipe cache/system/data ( I also swipe factory reset after)
- flash rom (after rom flashes don't reset at this section, go back and tap to reset to bootloader, this changes active slot)

Now I repeat the above process and flash the rom to the other slot, not sure if it does anything so this could be a skipable step.

- format data type yes
- reboot system

You need your PC setup for ADB and fastboot. Get the android SDK tools. Search maowdroid on YouTube he's got great tutorials.

No need to repartition. TWRP isn't installed. Instead you download the .IMG file and use a windows command window to fastboot itbon your pixel. Slots refers to slots a and b.

Our phone has these two slots you'll notice when you flash in TWRP. When you flash a rom you flash to the opposite slot you are currently running on (running on A flashing to B), when you reboot to bootloader after rom flash and fastboot your pixel back into TWRP you are now running on "B" slot. This is when you would flash gapps(if rom doesn't include), magisk etc, now on "B" slot flashing magisk/gapps to "A" slot.
