Android 3.1 Update on Wifi Only Xoom

now euhhh I searched but couldn't find a specific answer

is there a rooted 3.1 update for the Canadian WIFI xoom? (without the broadband 3g service BS in the first version that came out) ?

don't think there is even an update for anyone other than US Wifi yet...

Same here Brother !! In Montreal also and still waiting on 3.1 ....what a waste !!
I should of bought it when I was in Florida ...US is going on 3.2 and we are still in the stone ages

I got it from XDA I wrote up the whole process here

Basically you are unlocking the bootloader, installing CWM recovery, flashing the stock 3.1 US ROM, and then updating to 3.2.

This will turn your MZ604 into a US WIFI Xoom but you will lose any localization settings and applications you currently have.

I'm considering this more and more.
Any conflict of data if I backup all my stuff using Titanium on a canadian model with 3.0.1 and then restore everything on a U.S. 3.2 ?

not sure. It might work but might not. When flashing the stock 3.1 image I had to wipe out the user area stuff or I would get stuck in a boot loop.

But it doesn't take that long to set everything back up again.

I got an update on my WIFI ONLY Xoom today, the 3.1 update.
I hit accept and install and it restarted and just hung on the Android with the exclamation mark. I hard rebooted it and its back up on 3.0.1, and now says its up to date

Any ideas? Im currently on Tiamat 1.4 , rooted

Will this get a ICS update later in the year?

UK finally gets 3.1...

I finally got the 3.1 update on my UK MZ604 WiFi model yesterday.
So far so good... SD card, resizable widgets, full history rather than last five... and the best bit for me as a developer...ADK USB accessory mode support
