Not sure why you are waiting just root it and do it yourself. Since I was rooted I manually updated to 3.2 the day it was released.

I unlocked the bootloader and rooted on day 1 but I was expecting updates nonetheless not these workarounds (involving starting over, using a US rom etc...)

The Canadian update is not going to be available any time soon, if it ever is. I have a feeling with this google buyout that the Xoom is going to be discontinued soon and support dropped. None of the local stores seem to have stock of the Xoom any more. Users on the official Moto forums were told if they wanted quicker access to the update, they should sign up for the beta testing program. I hope most of you can see the irony in that....

Just received my update on my SGT 10 WiFi 32GB. file shows as a 188MB download file. When i purchased my SGT, it was already unlocked, so I know it will lock it. I can always unlock.

Xoom 16GB WiFi in Edmonton just got an update. 2nd restart and I'm seeing a new Motorola logo throwing off ripples. I know a lot of people in this thread join me in saying, "about freaking time."

Now I get to see how long one needs to wait for 3.2.

You could also just unlock the device, flash the US 3.0.1 ROM and do the two updates OTA. There is literally no difference in hardware between the US WiFi Xoom and the other MZ604 models.

Problem with Wifi Xoom Tab

Hi,

I was reading the forum but could understand a word you guys have been writing can anyone talk in easy language.

" I have Xoom Wifi tab from USA but using in Finland and I have give updates for the device OS but since last three days it has downloaded zero files while connected to high speed net"

Does anyone has solution for it how should I do the product update.

Issues relocking Android Honeycomb 3.0 to receive Honeycomb updates (Tiamat 1.16)

Ho so I am having the same issue trying to lock my Motorola Xoom wifi(601) to return it to stock so that I can do the the Honeycomb updates(such as, 3.1, or 3.22). Have you resolved the issue yet? The main issue for me seems to be that I cannot flash a new rom update onto my wifi xoom since I have no external sd card support. So does that mean there is no way of me getting the Honeycomb updates for my Xoom until I get a special usb converter cable?

From clockwork recovery you can mount the internal storage as a USB device

Can you provide details as to the actual suckiness of the update? What isn't working and sucks? what works as intended, but of course, sucks. is it the install process that sucks? is it the reinstalling of your apps that sucks?

Please provide more suckiness details, if you would.

XOOM update

Can anybody advise me how I can update my XOOM wifi to latest Android
I am currently running 3.2 build H.6.6-23
i am being told an update is available and when I hit download i get this message:
Failed to update. An unspecified error has occurred
