Android 3.1 Update on Wifi Only Xoom

Excuse my ignorance, but how do I apply this update from the zip?

either thats how it is, or it was a just a big mistake by Moto pushing it to wifi only (maybe thats why it failed)

Anyone who is at stock, tried that update file yet? I want to but I use my xoom for work and can't risk having it brick it.

The update can only be flashed if you're completely stock with only root..

You can pull the recovery and boot out of the .zip and flash it before hand and then see if the update still fails.

I don't think so. If you unroot, Xoom won't recognize your external SD card anymore.

You can get in there.... press up once I think while it's booting, then select recovery. then at the green android guy, press power THEN up. It gets you to a menu that is looking for an update.zip on the sdcard, but it can't mount the sdcard as far as i can tell.

Tried it, once you get into the menu it's unable to mount the sdcard, interestingly enough it seems to be asking for a usb stick to install from. I need to find my host cable and see what happens..

i tried flashing from the external sd card using rom manager (tiamat kernel) , some error 7 so thats off the charts

went back to stock, system update notificaotin is not showing nemore, dammit lost my chance i guess
