I made a new thread as a how-to after rebooting it updates the 'secure' bootloader.
You will have to use an otg cable which converts your micro USB connection to a regular usb

what do you mean by this, the bootloader will be not unlockable?

It's just what it says after rebooting.
It's the bootloader that can be relocked.

What is the REAL deal here with this update???
1. Do we need to flash the stock rom back if we have custom one now?
2. If we flash this new update can we get root and unlock back to use custom kernels?

This makes it sound like you don't need to go back to stock and it looks very easy

It reads like it will work with clockwork, wipe root, but then you can gain root again. If its true it will be killer! I dont know if I am going to try it. I dont want a $600 paperweight.

Tried on my Tiamat 1.4.1 with root and doesn't work. Starts doing the update and then you get the ! in a triangle "Thanks for playing but no new Honeycomb for you." icon.
Ok guys here is what I did. Fastboot flash stock boot.img system and recovery. Used otg cable flash update. All updated. When I get back h ome I will flash back clockwork and superuser. Hope all is good. Yes I had tiamat kernel. All I lost was superuser
