Anybody know if this update fixed the lag when scrolling through homescreens in portrait mode?
The stock blue recovery doesn't recognize the SD, my guess is it was wishful thinking on Moto/Google's part. The only way to do it through the stock recovery is with a micro USB adapter and a USB mem stick. And how do I do that? Its already on the device??/
Already flashed default rom from Motorola.com dev section
1. rebooted into adb reboot recovery
2. plugged in usb
3. pressed up and got into recovery (blue lettering screen)
4. chose install from sd
5. got error
?????
Dead wrong. Read back a page or two. I did it with Stock recovery. The stock blue recovery doesn't recognize the SD, my guess is it was wishful thinking on Moto/Google's part. The only way to do it through the stock recovery is with a micro USB adapter and a USB mem stick.
Listen pal. I d id read. I read them all. I tried every way that was laid out to force the update. So don't tell me to read anything. I know many people who have the wifi zoom, myself included and there has been no update. So why don't you read this.Have you totally ignored the past 11 pages of people with wifi xooms getting 3.1? RTFM dude, RTFM
Gee, that sure flies in the face of my personal experience. Sorry you couldn't figure it out.Listen pal. I d id read. I read them all. I tried every way that was laid out to force the update. Sent from my Xoom using XDA Premium App
He wasn't talking about forcing the OTA update. He was talking about just flashing the update yourself through either a usb host cable or through a rooted xoom with clockworkmod.Listen pal. it's a command you execute from the commandline on your pc once you've got your xoom hooked up properly via usb.Ok, so I am new to the whole rooting thing, adb, etc
I have a xoom wifi only, how in gods green earth do you get into adb reboot recovery?
I have the usb drives downloaded and installed. I have the SDK installed with the platform tools and fastboot.exe in the platform-tools folder.
Is there a guide on how to get into adb recovery or am I just missing it?
BINGO!He wasn't talking about forcing the OTA update. He was talking about just flashing the update yourself through either a usb host cable or through a rooted xoom with clockworkmod.
it will push out automatically, you'll just get the update later (we don't know when yet). You should get the update regardless of location.Hello, im new here. =) I have a question. Do i really have to manually install the 3.1 update? Or will it show up in my Xoom?
BTW, i bought my wifi only xoom in best buy, but i am now in the Philippines.
Hold VolUp and power to force reboot.can someone ask that question for me in that post, i really don't know what to do
