Android 3.1 Update on Wifi Only Xoom

I was able to "force" the update by moving the date.
I'm surprised it worked and glad that it did but it's pretty lame to have a check for updates button that is worthless. Reminds me of the "windows update" that I had on my old windows mobile phone. That was sooo pointless.
Btw my xoom is and was stock.

Hold VolUp and power to force reboot.

I know how to reboot, the problem was that after the 3.1 flash nothing happened it was stuck on that screen.


I re-flashed to stock and reapplied the 3.1 update again and it worked this time, I really don't know what happened!

Sorry for being blond, tried ro read everything.

I have an unrooted Wifi US Xoom. From the the Verizon guide I read that you can force a second update attempt by pressing power/volume_up. Does that not mean that i just have to copy the zip file as downloaded, rename it into update.zip, copy it into a selected folder and then press power/volumeup? The only issue is that the folder might need root rights to be written in. Am I completetly out of spec here? If not, any idea what folder I have to copy it in?

Has anyone flashed 3.1 on a non US WIFI Xoom? I have a Japan MZ604 everything is stock on it I haven't modified a thing.

SO it appears that some WiFi Xoom's are getting the OTA update? I have a US WiFi Xoom, living in Australia. Is there a chance that it might not come through for me becausue I am in Aus?.. maybe I can route through a US proxy for something?

I just flashed 3.1 to my Wifi xoom last night. I did it via CWM. I will say that it was the easiest way. Before it came out, I tried it this way posted in here but it never worked.

As I reported on another thread, I switched on my Xoom this morning to find the update waiting for me. It installed successfully, rather fast too.

My Xoom was 100% stock.

But, where is the the Movie app...it's not installed.

Fired up my Xoom this morning and had the update waiting to install. My Xoom is bone stock and I didn't participate in any Motorola support forum or anything. I tried the date trick last night and it was checking, but never had the update. Threw it back to auto-date before bed and woke up this morning with the update.

I bought my wifi Xoom the day it came out at Costco near Pittsburgh...

I have some Android sys type app that tells me everything about the Xoom, I mean EVERYTHING. I noticed prior to the update that one of the processors was set at 999.X mhz while processor 2 was always in the ~400mhz range. After the update, both are at 999.x mhz.

I just received OTA update but it failed because I changed the Arabic font!

I think I need the official font before I update again.

Anyone has the DroidSandArabic.ttf?

I've just updated my Xoom in 3.1 using the last method on XDA and I've lost my french language support and SDCard is no more visible from Android?

Have you experienced the same thing?
