I want to add something that I thought was a little strange, but I wanted to mention it in case it might help explain some of the problems I am having...

I installed the main call recorder app from the Magisk Manager list of modules. And then I think I installed the unlocker from the play store.

And it seems that since I installed the main app from Magisk, it was installed as a "System" app, not a normal app (because Titanium shows it as a system app).

Would it being a "System" app make any difference?

Hey @skvalex
So it happened again and CR failed to record the call till the end, because something kills the app's background service but I can't figure out what is it!
Here's a snapshot for the actual call duration from True Phone > 1:59

Screenshot_20210221-023721067 (1).jpg

but CR could only record 0:26 seconds before the recording process gets killed..

This problem happens few times only and most of the calls get recorded fully without any issue.

I've also attached the log captured by CR debugger.

Another thing I want to mention is that it looks like I have THREE different packages installed:

Call Recorder 3.4.4
Call Recorder Add-on 2.1.0
Call Recorder Unlock 1.03

Is this proper?

1. Only root or system recorder can fix it since Android 9
2. Yes, Wi-Fi calling is not supported: https://skvalex.org/help/record-internet-calls

I just tried to install Magisk-module on S9+ (Android 10) and Pixel 2 (Android 11) and there were no problems. Also, I didn't change anything in the Magisk-module except apk and module-version. So the problems shouldn't be caused by the module. Anyway, try to use the app without the module - if it will keep record calls from the phone line, then module isn't needed in your case.
Ok @skvalex problem found & fixed. When I tinkered with the bash script I saw I need to check my util_functions.sh script. For some weird reason it showed version 20.3 inside :-(. No idea why it was never updated to 20.4 and then to 21.4..... so I deleted the magisk directory in /data/adb and after two restarts it re-setup the scripts and all is fine now. Installed your update in seconds. So it's not your fault, all is fine. All this was on OnePlus 6T if someone else has this kind of problem.

On my Moto G6 Play and moto G Power, Magisk recording has worked perfectly!

Even VOLTE, even WiFi calling, even while talking on Bluetooth!!

I just replaced my Motorola with a OnePlus Nord N10.

I did not install Magisk because I was hoping to use system recording.

Unfortunately I can't figure out how to get it working because the Nord N10 doesn't have the OnePlus dialer, only the Google Dialer, which has no system recording.

@skvalex I know this is not an app bug, it simply isn't enabled in the system.

But if anyone knows a workaround please tell me.

- I tried joneplustools with the ADB enable trick, but it won't work until we can sideload OnePlus Dialer

- both ACR CUbe and skvalex recorder work using the "voice recognition" trick but it isn't perfect and doesn't work on bluetooth

Call Recorder - SKVALEX
version: 3.4.4

Last update of the app in this post: 19.02.2021

Download

Purchase over PayPal/AliPay via website: https://callrecorder.skvalex.com/purchase

Description:
Call Recorder - SKVALEX is intended for automatic call recording. The app provides functionality to record both sides on devices with such support. But some devices don't have 2-way call recording support, or have issues with Bluetooth recording.

Also, the app provides wide functionality to manage recordings:
- Search recordings
- Conversion from one format to another (e.g WAV to FLAC/OPUS/MP3/etc.)
- Adding notes to recorded files
- In-call control button while call recording: you can easily start/stop recording during a call
- Enter to the app using password (or fingerprint)
- Auto clean-up - automatically removes old recordings according to rules set by you. Starred recordings ignored.
- Exceptions: you may set up phone numbers, contacts or groups for specific actions, like always record or do not
- Filename template: you can easily change structure of created files
- Cloud backup support
- Playback recording over main speaker or handset speaker
- Access recording from within contact info
- Call confirm: the app will ask you whether you want to make a call or not
- After call actions dialog: the app will ask what to do with a recorded call
- Vibrate on call start/end

If you want to get option "start recording on answer" work without root, then you'll need to grant READ_LOGS permission to the app via adb:
Code:
adb shell pm grant org.skvalex.cr android.permission.READ_LOGS
Note, that you may need to manually enable logger in engineering menu (or anywhere else where your device manufacturer disabled it). Don't ask questions "how to enable logger" here, you better google it or ask it in forums about your specific device.

- fixed option "start recording on answer" on Android 11 with root

version 2.0.6:
- fixed crash for pre-Pie devices

Hey @skvalex
So it happened again and CR failed to record the call till the end, because something kills the app's background service but I can't figure out what is it!
Here's a snapshot for the actual call duration from True Phone > 1:59
I've also attached the log captured by CR debugger.
Thanks for the logs, but it doesn't clear up why the problem occurred unfortunately

Another thing I want to mention is that it looks like I have THREE different packages installed:

Call Recorder 3.4.4
Call Recorder Add-on 2.1.0
Call Recorder Unlock 1.03

Is this proper?
Yes, that's correct

I just replaced my Motorola with a OnePlus Nord N10.
Only root will help

Hi,
anyway to restore purchase if i currently use microg instead of play store? I purchase unlocker in 2018 on play store…
License related questions better question me via email

Used to work fine on Nord but on android 11 I've done the adb but still will not record both way's I've set to upload & download link also keep getting message to set call Recorder but if you do it will not record at all has to be set to standard API or will not work at all any idea 💡 also. Sometimes shows need to do the adb but not all. The time?? Any having same issues or just me...

@Fazerboy0_3 the ADB command is only to enable access to system recording (if I'm not wrong), but if you use Google Phone app it will not help you because it doesn't support it.
That message is about accessibility service, did you enabled it?
Recording on Android 9+ is hard w/o root, so it mostly records your side and if the other side is loud enough so your mic can catch it.
I updated to Oxygen 11 on monday, for now I had no phone calls. But also on 10 it was totally random, sometimes it recorded both sides, but mostly only my.

Never had a problem on 10, 11 now seems fine, So Kudos to Dev as not rooted as my banking app won't work if rooted
