Voip recording works perfectly and without any problems. But recording doesn't work for wifi calls and the bigger problem is that if call recording is on, I can hear the other party but the other party can't hear me.
I don't see it, I don't have google voice call installedJust to be clear, Google voice call recording works fine for you?
I've got this update on my Pixel 6a today, but I can't get root due this https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/issues/6441Edit: I have sometime to spare the passed two days so I flashed the QPR2 Beta 2 on my Pixel 6 Pro to test the call recorder again! It confirms that exactly the same as the QPR2 Beta 1: nothing can be recorded on both ends. Went back to stable and really hope you have the time to look into this issue.
Are you sure the system recorder does record calls into that directory? I don't own OnePlus device so I don't know how system recorder works after Android 13 updateHello @skvalex I am on oneplus 8 pro with oxygen 13. after update from 12 to 13 also facing a problem to give permission to Andoid/data folder. when I click the "Select Android/data folder in a new window to grant the permission" it's empty and I can't open it. I am not rooted.
I know the issue, with P6 and P6P, people can use Magisk patched boot.img from P7 and P7P respectively to obtain back the root, too bad that there has not a 7a, and it looks like there has no way to resolve the issue for the time being.I've got this update on my Pixel 6a today, but I can't get root due this https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/issues/6441
Thought you meant to say 6aI know the issue, with P6 and P6P, people can use Magisk patched boot.img from P7 and P7P respectively to obtain back the root, too bad that there has not a 7a, and it looks like there has no way to resolve the issue for the time being.
Default settings should work on a rooted Pixel 7 ProHello @skvalex , since it appears you have a Pixel, can you share your settings? Perhaps they'll work on my 7P... Thanks!
No, workaround for 6/6 Pro is to install patched boot from 7/7Pro. But as there's no 7a, I can't install patched boot from it to my 6a
It's a no go for me, whatever settings I try...
I don't know what's going on on beta versions of Android. Once I'll be able to root my phone, I'll be able to check what I can doIt's a no go for me, whatever settings I try...
Tried it under beta 1 and beta 2.
Ok, cheers. If I can help let me know.I don't know what's going on on beta versions of Android. Once I'll be able to root my phone, I'll be able to check what I can do
Voice call uplink + downlink
Seems to be working fine for my p6pGot root today. So here's a version to test on rooted Android 13 beta
note: remove magisk module if it's installed
Confirm it is working wonderfully with my P6P! Thank you so much that you are able to get this fixed. Can you explain a little what did Google done in it's beta to caused the issue, also are we going to face the same again when the beta features dropped to the stable?Got root today. So here's a version to test on rooted Android 13 beta

Of course, users are aware of these changes in Android 9 https://skvalex.org/help/android-9-pieI don't mean to offend you. I see your app has very good reviews. But with recent changes in Android, if call recording apps cannot record both sides clearly, then the same should be made very clear, so users are aware of the same. I'm aware developers can't do much if the OS blocks apps from working properly.
It's better to clarify explicitly every time what you mean to avoid misunderstanding. When we say call recording works, it IMPLIES both sides of the conversation is being recorded, and both are audible in the recording. This is understood by default.
If that isn't true, then the limitation must be EXPRESSLY stated.
I see there are very limited applications for recording a one sided conversation, such as listening to a teacher's lessons, etc. But those are better classified as recording, and not call recording.
If you want 2-way call recording - get root. It's the only recommendation for any phone since Android 9 that don't have built-in call recording. Pixel phones don't have system recorder that could record to a folder accessible by Call Recorder.I keep seeing references to the system recorder, which I know the Pixel 4XL has had but it appears to be either disabled or Google has removed from Android 13. Is that accurate? I seem to recall there being some way to access it.
Any recommendations?
An user can repeat some information during a call if it needs to be saved. Also, one side recording can help to remind what conversation was about. It's not ideal for sure, but it's better than nothing. Can you elaborate on how just one side's conversation can be useful to anyone?
Without context (one sided recordings), conversations can have completely different meaning and can be misused.
Sure it does. But with limitations that Google has brought to unrooted phones in Android 9.
adb shell pm grant org.skvalex.cr android.permission.READ_LOGS
Hi Skvalex,
Let us know if you're still around and if you have any news about reinstating the app in the Google Play.
