That would be real swell! However... I thought Ti had been updated for ICS structure, was hoping one of you geniuses could help this guy understand if there was something incompatible with our streak 7's.

I don't want to come across ungreatful, the Rom is awesome and I am ecstatic that there is still development for the streak. I will be mounting the tab in the dashboard of my car soon as a head unit and you guys have given new purpose to my streak with all your hard work.

When ICS came out it was a huge change in a lot of things within Android, including file system structure. Also things like camera.

I nvflashed and started from scratch. Downloaded my purchased apps through market including Ti Backup Pro Key. It appears I had an older version of the app. The up to date version (4.7.7?) Worked fine, batch installed all my apps cleanly.

Just for those of you that like to use it or had/have it on another device, the newest Swype Beta works perfectly fine on the Beta 4 build, but you have to get the apk from somewhere. IF you try to download the installer it will tell you that the screen size is not supported. I myself have not looked in the build.prop to see what may need to change in there to fool the installer. What I did was borrowed the apk from my Streak 5 and installed it on the 7

whoaaa... A simple NO. would have been ok.
First..your right..I didn't read enough..that is why I am asking, isn't it?

Second, I just got my streak7 from the shop because it was replaced by a faulty . I rooted and tinkered the first one,too bad that I had to send it back because it had the read-only problem. I'm just being cautious of what I'm going to do with this fresh device.

NVFlash completely replaces all partition tables so yes, it can be done on a unrooted stock ROM.

Yes you can go back to 3.2, use NVFlash tool to make a backup of your current ROM or look around the forums to see if anyone has a stock 3.2 image. Don't ask me, I don't have it. Could care less for stock images, much prefer HoneyStreak R8.

If I remember correctly, they said they would integrate it if it works for them. If they do, we will as well.

thanks heaps giveen..I think I can get the stock image from Manii's file on streakdroid (not sure). I'm on Stock 514 3G. Dont really want to lose the 3G capabilty, but I really want to try the ICS and see If I can live without the 3G.

You could always google the directions on how to use NVFlash, modify the commands a bit to work with the Streak 7

Ok I seriously need to get into this but I havent done any programming since middle school in DOS &c++ im guessing I needa know some Java and lunix or is this ICS a whole new world..? I thought I saw nvidia release an ICS dev kit a few Weeks ago... #ijs

I really wanna get into this stuff so I can learn to mod and tune too... Like this swipe keyboard is crap in hc..! Can someone make the.keyboard transparent on ICS and have sype as an option leaving the keyboard..?

Major question... Can I partition the internal 16gb mem to 2 8gb sectors and run a dual system..? I need hc for texting which means I would need radio in ICS to jump in & beta test with the new ROM...

Im down to learn with nothing better to do shoot me some knowledge and let me get into this too... I know gurus like DJ Stevie & manii are the guys at this but show me how to learn this stuff im all in... **** get me some texting illbe happy to hack at it & test.all.day im on this tablet its my computer..!

On a side note anyone ever see printer driver suppor so you can print rigt from the tablet..?

I have a few devices and have followed many XDA threads, but I have yet to hear about a dual boot situation. Only one that I am aware of for sure is the HP Touchpad with WebOS and CM9 as dual OSes... I am not sure if what you are looking for is possible... then again, I am not a dev...

just got my DS7 back from Dell. Went and flashed it right away. There is an immediate difference in application responsiveness and device speed that was missing from 2.3/3.x. The missing 4G is not that big of a deal and I'm sure if anyone can do it, you guys can! You have consistently amazed me at showing what's possible!

Switched to using Launcher Pro. Swype Beta works on this device.

As far as batch app installation, I recommend File Expert. It allows full app export to your SD.
