Just as a side note, they actually have a triple boot on the Nook color. I can boot as a standard Nook or into Honeycomb or ICS. So not really into an entirely different OS but different iterations of a single OS.
ls /sys/class/net
Use the app "Root Dim" to temp fix the brightness issue.Hi all,
can't wait to test ICS but also can't live without camera for Skype nor can I stand few hours battery live due to the brightness problem.
Is any of the mentioned problems solved and when beta 4.5 is expected to be released?
Cheers guys, great work! ;]
I really should check the thread more often...Need someone running a Honeycomb 4g edition to run this command
Code:ls /sys/class/net
sh-4.1$ ls /sys/class/net
dummy0
ip6tnl0
lo
sit0
usb0
wlan0
sh-4.1$ ls /sys/class/net
dummy0
ip6tnl0
lo
ppp0
sit0
usb0
It's a known issue. My HC backup was created using My Backup Pro. The developer suppied reactivation number won't work but once because of this change in MAC address on reboot.Hey,
is someone able to anwser my question about preventing MAC change while flasching ICS B4?
https://market.android.com/details?id=org.nathan.jf.build.prop.editorjust a note,
when i initially installed beta4 i was able to download the chrome beta app from market. the app had an update, and it no longer recognizes my streak as a ics device. says only compatible with devices running android 4.0+
just figured as you guys are working on the new release, you'd like to know that so a proper build.prop device designation could be done to enable as many ics apps as possible.
thanks again for your hard work, very much so looking forward to the next release
may i request a wifi only version?![]()
If this is a known issue why isn't there a known solution? I know that changing MAC for HTC Hero is possible (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=686789) so maybe it can be done for Streak 7?It's a known issue. Are you complaining because the MAC is constantly changing which is a known issue or that you want to be able to change it?If this is a known issue why isn't there a known solution? I really would like to test Beta 4 out but I have to stick to my current MAC address ;]
Honestreak does the same thing, drives me crazy. First off my router at work only has 30 leases so I had to lower the release down to like 30 minutes or I'd _eventually_ run out of leases (with other people using it) because every day (sometimes a few times a day when it rebooted) my DS7 would get a new IP. Second, I like knowing the IP so I can adb wifi into it..Hey,
