Finally found a workaround for the "not finding any update".

1: download the dlpkgfile and command file found here on the forum.
2: use a file manager with root permissions (eg:es file explorer)
3: copy the dlpkgfile to /cache and the command file to /cache/recovery.
4: temp unroot with the Voodoo app
5: restore original build.prop
6: reboot in recovery (hold power + volume down) untill the white text appears telling you to press volume up to enter recovery
7: auto installs
8: reboot + reroot with the voodoo app
How do you restore original build.prop??

can you please specify what you mean about the 'control file'? or post a link.

also, does the dlpkgfile have to be the zip?

Depends if you altered your original build.prop (like I did, if you didn't tamper with it, then it's fine)

It's a file just called "command"
Content is:
Code:
--update_package=/cache/dlpkgfile
You can make it yourself in notepad and save-as.

The dlpkgfile is in fact a zip, just make sure it's not a zip within a zip (if you open it with a zip program, the content should have META-INF, patch, system and blob

So the command should be created as a .txt with "--update_package=/cache/dlpkgfile" in it but then rename it to no extension?

I just tried it and it failed at about 1/3 of the progress bar...
Rebooting ok...

Why isn't it working...

Here's the log (where the problem occurs)

Its all laggy.....every app and browser

Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using xda app-developers app
As I had to do with the ICS version, try clearing both caches, then rebooting.

I use System Tuner Pro and its just 3 taps and its done via One-Click!

It can't hurt and its worth a try.

Rob has sent this from his Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
