Ok I got it working but not really as i thought it would. I have to have the hotspot enabled with their SSID recommendations on the Nexus 7 and HUR running then WiFi launcher on the Pixel 4a 5g. It connects but after i disconnect i have to relaunch HUR. There is also a limitation with the Nexus 7 hotspot only being 2.4Ghz, i think 5ghz might help with responsiveness.
My ideal set up would be to have the HUR app always listening, but connect via wifi to my phones 5Ghz hotspot as I tend to have that on while I drive, even had tasker set up to automatically turn the hotspot on. Is this possible or is the wireless connection only archived via the Head units hotspot (nexus 7)? Also how to I make HUR never close yet turn on the display after disconnect? The Nexus 7 is always powered on and charging in the car.
