Finally had chance to load 7.14. It seems so far to have sorted the double skipping on Spotify and the connection is quicker too. This on USB (with Motorola MA1 dongle).
Very well. It connects very quickly too. At first it seemed around 30 secs but now I would say more like 15. No lags whatsoever and no stutterring. The 5GHz wifi connection is identical to USB in quality. It does very rarely disconnect though - that is the nature of all 5GHz devices, auto toll barriers and certain areas on a long trip, but very rarely and reconnects seconds later. You might want to consider AAwireless too, since it's cheaper and made by the same company as HUR (also has the option of 2.4GHz and future Carplay too, I believe). I couldn't get it at the time. How's MA1 with HUR working for you? Any lags, disconnects?
How quickly does it connect?

I would say on balance I am very pleased I went this route since wireless connection is 100% automatic and reliable now. The great thing about the MA1 for me too, but might not be for others is there is no app - it is simply plug and play - which removes any further set up complications.
Good stuff! Let us know how you get on.
Hi folks, I am new to HUR and so far I have one question. In what case should I enable the audio sink feature as it hits the performance?
It's worth taking some time to actually read through earlier posts in these threadsIs there anyway to force HUR to switch to widescreen mode on 1080p display since the resolution option is no longer there?
I did try a figure of as low as 80 but it just made the overall UI very small but not widescreen. It's worth taking some time to actually read through earlier posts in these threadsOr contact the developer he is very helpful. Without Audio Sink, audio (except Blutetooth for calls) will go through your phone not the head unit; And DPI setting in HUR now controls aspect ratio - the lower the DPI, the higher the resolution and vice versa. Default is 240, I think, try a lower figure to get widescreen on your head unit display.
Hi, I purchased HUR after losing my patience with zlink disconnecting bluetooth as soon as Android Auto is connected, which resulted in calls not being routed through my car's speaker and mic.
I tried HUR wired mode and it does not disconnect bluetooth but I am facing other major issue. The music and maps audio is coming from my phone's speakers and not through my car's speakers.
Tried disconnecting bluetooth but same result. Is there any way to fix this?
My headunit is ac8227l demo.
I had the same issue on the same head unit, have you tried resetting it from the settings -more - reset?
Thanks. Some are full of trojans, and will actually take you to playstore, others do offer the APK, it's a constant fight with them....
Apps behave differently (at least in terms of user interface) on Android and Android Auto. So, you should compare Waze on HUR to Waze on another Android Auto system, not to Waze on your phone or another Android device. Then, you can be sure if it's specific to HUR or not. I bet it's not specific to HUR, but it is the same on other Android Auto systems.Thing is I've tested Waze on android versus Waze on Headunit Reloaded and there's a massive difference in layout and font size. I thought I was imagining it but I've put my phone and tablet side my side.
I wasn't sure if there was a setting on Headunit Reloaded that I hadn't toggled somewhere?
I've tried adjusting the DPI but that makes everything bigger including any boxes or windows with navigational directions not just the font size.
Hi, thanks for the feedbackThanks. Some are full of trojans, and will actually take you to playstore, others do offer the APK, it's a constant fight with them....
BTW, I have (again) made big changes on both HUR and WiFI launcher hope to have them out next week, should hopefully provide a more flexible way to connect automatically or manually over WiFi.
The AAC is a no go, quite a few units are not able to run 2 sessions of MediaCodec in parallel for decoding video and audio separately, so I left it untouched for now with raw PCM being used for audio.
Wanted to rewrite the whole app structure to jetpack compose, however that means to drop support for units running API below 21. Therefore I kept it almost the same as it was now, but reverted back to separate activity for the playback instead of using fragments, this should solve the black screen problem on some units after reveres camera or when putting the app in background and resuming.
Isn't that exactly what you just joined up to do?
You didn't join to ask a question. You could have started with telling us what device and Android version you are trying to connect with/to, and perhaps someone could help you constructively.
