@north3221 ok version 7 seems more professional and connects fine but for me crashes after 2 minute or less .. tried all regular fixes ..still the same issue ... on a parallel way i am one feet of success with my carlink app !
still only one thing and i hope you'll help me fix it
my setup depends on
carlink app .. as head unit reloaded seems bulk . laggy , for me , at least ..but carlink .. it is more solid !
now ..
1- slave + car head unit
must be rooted + macrodroid or tasker installed (both )
2 - for master i figured out that i can use my samsung bixby without root . to initiate bt > location > hotspot stuff
so if your master is not a samsung you will need another root for master to install macrodroid instead
3- btw aa gateway used is the original one ! seems weird but the only one that worked with this tweaks !
this setup works 99.9 % and very stable upon several disconnections and deep sleeping of car hu ... but one thing still !
if i could slow the usb connection until slave is connected to master wifi only by 3- 4 seconds .. it will reach the 100% !
i dont know how to do that . and asking you if you can
can you mod the original aa gateway to only wait for usb for just few seconds until slave is connected to master wifi ?
modifying original apk to wait for usb ? is that possible ?
Ok.. let's start with v0.7. it connects but crashes after a couple of mins? You got logging on? What's it saying?
Did you disable battery optimisation? Wonder if the service is being killed.
Master. I don't have mine rooted. No need for root on master, I do have Samsung but don't use Bixby for it as have more control with tasker. Tasker can toggle tether. And with adb WiFi you can do screen touches (how I automate hus)
As for the rest, that's exactly what I'm trying to do with this app, wait for usb and WiFi.
I did a previous mod that allows an intent to start the service. The issue I've always found is the car head unit tries to start android auto when usb connected, if hacker service can't connect to master at that point the head unit gives up. Hence it's needs the usb toggle once both connected to fool the head unit into thinking you reconnected the phone.
Sounds like if we solve your crash issue it's solved for you.
Weird previous versions didn't crash
