so since i was unable to unlock the bootloader since i RMA'd my device........and I have been in contact MULTIPLE time with Asus with no luck..........well what are the odds after updating to 4.2 that I will be able to unlock the bootloader NOW?

im thinking not bloody likely since its still not the original MAC.

Hmm...Maybe I won't relock my bootloader to update then.

Did the later versions of the firmware block the unlocking of bootloader I guess?

There is no way to relock the bootloader. You're just going to have to wait til Asus releases the file online.
Grrr...didn't know that. Thanks

asus standard emergency system restore (for tablet with default recovery):
go to asus site, download a rom for your tablet, unpack it (inside there should be another .zip file, dont unpack that), rename it as "EP201_768_SDUPDATE", copy that on your sd card, boot in recovery (power+volume down, then chose recovery icon), wait for it to work
sometimes it requires a couple of tries.
everytime i try this it all ways gives me the red triangle

How about the PhotoSphere function? Is it available? 'Cause technically it should be possible since the tablet has a gyroscope.

im trying to downgrade because the update when wrong... the touch screen doesnt respond to touches, rotation is 90 degrees to the left, the model is tf201, i have no usb connection
Well...You know you are in the tf300 section right?

You could try following this guide here, but just be sure you get all the correct files for your tablet model. However with no usb, not sure it will work.
