Well...You know you are in the tf300 section right?

You could try following this guide here, but just be sure you get all the correct files for your tablet model. However with no usb, not sure it will work.

What update? Sounds to me like you did the wrong update. Follow the directions in that thread I linked you, be sure to get the correct files from Asus and twrp site for the tf300.

I just did this, this morning and it took me about 5 minutes to do.

it was the ota update from last night, im not rooted, locked bootloader. all i did was hit the check for updates button, and all this happened

You might need to clear your data if you're having such issues. Sometimes new major versions of OSes need this when there's drastic changes done.

does anyone have a copy of the update file? ive tried downgrading but it always gives me the red triangle

it turns out i have fastboot usb access so that might be a good sign

How about the PhotoSphere function? Is it available? 'Cause technically it should be possible since the tablet has a gyroscope.

Why does everyone want photoshere? There are many camera apps on the market that do joined up panaroma views if that is your thing.

Photoshpere was designed by google for their nexus range.

let me recheck: you did go to asus site, download US_epaduser_10_4_2_20_UpdateLauncher.zip, unzipped it, taken the .zip that was inside and renamed it as EP201_768_SDUPDATE.zip, copied to the root of your microsd card and rebooted in recovery?

yeah, could it be that because the model switched to tf201 that it thinks its the wrong rom?

it should work even with wrong id, evidently the update is gone so wrong that dont work anything, sorry.
ask asus it, its their fault after all.

maybe its just a monday hung over kind of thing but after updating to 4.2 i no longer see the developer options under the system. Not sure where to turn on the debugging at this point.

To recover your developer options go to settings tap the about tab in the left hand pane then repeatedly tap the build section in the right hand pane.
