The WW version should be released sometime next week. Dont have a link to the source though so I guess you'll just have to believe me ;)

Yeah, we hoped for the same thing with the 4.1 update but it didn't do much. It would be nice if they do fix things but i'd probably move on to a custom ROM anyways

That's a concern for me as well and is part of the reason i haven't installed a custom ROM yet. However, there are some very good guides on this forum and if you read them carefully and follow them strictly, things should go fine. If you don't understand something, then you could just ask

there are only 2 ways to brick your Pad
1. Doing a wipe via bootloader while having a custom recovery and or Custom Rom on the Pad
2. Flashing a Custom Recovery that is not for your bootloader

So just try it. Its really worth it :):)

so after seeing several people having the update i have 1 question that i really like answered.

on the stock rom with default settings (possibly some stick apps disabled (things that can be done without root and other things) how much free ram does the tablet have remaining.
i really wonder how much heavyer this 4.1 and 4.2 rims are so im trying to get some numbers to find this out.

Any one know what this new WiFi optimization feature do? What does it do to "minimize battery usage"?
