There's in error with error detection is v0.12, so I'm not sure whether your error is actually an error, or the error is in error.

You can always attach the log if you want me to look at it, but it's probably nothing.

Samsung Galaxy S5 DualSIM G900FD: system upgrade to Lollipop with success!

I made the system upgrade from 4.4.2 to 5.0 successfully (G900FDXXU1BOC1_G900FDOXE1BOC1_SER.zip). I used an option "Flash firmware package".

First I created a new archive with protected partitions. Archive was stored in file flasfire_000.tar.md5 with items inside:
- Primary Bootloader,
- Secondary Bootloader,
- Secondary Bootloader AP,
- TrustZon,
- DBI/SDI,
- Modem Firmware,
- Firmware.

After that FlashFire upgraded my Android to 5.0 with informations about some errors but I can't find sdcard/FlashFire directory for paste here errors log.
I had to reset phone manually removing the battery, because automatic reset was suspended. Android 5.0 started up. Knox 0x0. I have a root rights.

Thanks @Chainfire!!!

What should I do now with flasfire_000.tar.md5 file? In what way?

Actually the idea is that you pull this package from the phone *before* you do the upgrade, then *after* you upgrade you reboot into download mode and flash this package with ODIN. It may be needed for the device to boot on the new Android version.

Hey mate . Good job on the released . Anyways Do you mind adding this on your list/fix ? everytime i choose flash/ota zip it takes atleast 1 or 2 minutes for the sdcard/internal card to show up (but it works ,then choosing another folder need more minutes for the next folder to showup ) S5 SM-G900F ;) (MOP takes only a sec or atleast one click) or this problem maybe it just me? Hehe Thank you.

It is important which version of ODIN should I use?
Which option in ODIN should be checked? Only "AutoReboot" and "F. Reset Time"?
Should I use in ODIN PDA (AP) box for "flashfire_0000.tar.md5" file?

OK so far on Galaxy Note 3 SM-N9005 KitKat 4.4.2 stock, stock kernel, Knox 0x1.

I got 4 errors reported in data partition during full backup, not sure what they are yet.

Could do with backup to extsd, otherwise useful replacement for MOP, I'll upgrade to FlashFire Pro soon.

Top work again Chainfire, thankyou.

Did a restore of backup made earlier using Flashfire v0.11, went black screen after attempting to re-boot, uncomfortably long pause, I eventually lost patience and manually re-booted into recovery.

But restore had worked. The errors that reported in data partition during backup also reported in restore, 4 apps including Flashfire were not installed during restore. All these apps had updates pending in play store. I couldn't find anything in logcat.

Whichever version works on your device. Those options are correct. But if your phone works fine with the new firmware without flashing this, then there's no need to, I would in fact advise against it.

FlashFire's log does not appear in logcat, it's /sdcard/FlashFire/lastlog after a reboot. It may still exist, if so, I'd love to see it, as I have no idea what the issue might be without it.

I have Samsung Galaxy S5 Duos G900fd running with latest Lollipop build. I have not rooted yet because this would have triggered Knox. Will this app help me to get root without triggering Knox? At the moment, I only want to become root without triggering Knox - not to flash any other ROM.

Just pushed v0.13 to Play. Will take a few hours to become visible for you guys. See post #8 on the first page for changelogs!

v0.12 was working great on the SM-G900K. All backups were working. There was that err on a few dozen files with a long string of numbers for names, but other than that it worked great. v0.13 fades to black screen once saying 'loading...' but once at black screen nothing.

Sent from my 'towelrooted' SM-G900K using XDA Free mobile app

Same as him. Flashfire can achieve this?

Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra
2015.04.08 - v0.13 - BETA
- [...]
- AROMA compatibility
- [...]

Unfortunately, Aroma Installer still doesn't work with G900F (tested with THIS)

Black screen after displaying "Installing [...]" message for a while (<0,5s). I was waiting more than 3 minutes.

There is no new lastlog file  (I found only lastlog from my previous attempt with simple zip flashable - Phone app mod)

FlashFire is the most advanced on-device firmware flasher available for rooted Android devices. It can flash full firmware packages from various manufacturers, as well as apply over-the-air (OTA) and ZIP updates - all while maintaining root, and without using a custom recovery. It also offers full device backup and restore functionalities in several formats. Relevant files can be stored on internal storage, SD cards, USB connected storage, or can even be streamed directly to and from your computer using USB or Wi-Fi.

FlashFire is the spiritual successor to the Mobile ODIN app, which was a similar solution (using completely different methods under the hood) exclusively for Samsung devices on older Android versions.

FlashFire is an extremely powerful application, it should be used with caution. Data loss, soft-bricks, and even hard-bricks are possible if used incorrectly. Unless you are an expert user, consult FlashFire's website and this thread before doing anything potentially destructive.

If the FlashFire user interface crashes, please attach the logs of the crash to your post. The SysLog app can help.

If you are experiencing an issue while FlashFire is flashing, please post FlashFire's log file to pastebin, and include the link in your post. The log file can be found at /sdcard/FlashFire/lastlog on your device.

    FlashFire's website/manual can be found at http://flashfire.chainfire.eu/.

Note: currently all functionality is unlocked without purchasing Pro. This may change in the future!
