Android 4.4 Kitkat for Sensation

Still running the CM 11-20140126-Sultan-Pyramid with the 3.4 kernel.
Works great except that when you use the camera you will get striped photo's.

I have flashed the unofficial NIGHTLY version of Feb. 1st but that I didn't like yet.
Got the Google Search bar on each screen which I could not remove and I couldn't find where to change the numbers of columns and rows.

Thought I read that this was not possible in that version.
The camera was not working correctly either in that nightly version.

Will wait for a better version.

Using Sultan's CM11 for about a week now, and for now it is Sensational. My phone hasn't worked this good for a loooong time. However, it could all just be due to the new battery, the old one was completely blown...

That said, the rom is stable and more than usable in everyday life.

ROM not flashed

Hi colleagues!
I've used for couple of weeks for Sultanxda CM11 ROM and my phone works OK. I've just tried to flash for newest 20140217 ROM and kernel (with full format all partitions except for sdcard) and the phone is hanged on HTC screen So I can't write in Sultanxda topic now, what could happened? As I see this flash is written by colleagues successfully, probably something wrong in my procedure? Could you help me?
I've wiped the cash and dalvik but nothing has changed...
I don't like to return for previous version...

I haven't tried new one yet, previous update worked without full wipe. Have you checked the checksum? After the check (if it's ok), wipe system, data, cache, and try again. If it doesn't work again, use the old build for now.

As I see in Sultan's topic I'm not the first and last with the same problem. I've checked the SUM at the first, of coarse. I assume my phone has no S-Off but I don't know where it should be visible. I've flashed this ROM by not the latest recovery sw version (this assumption is done as well in his topic) but I don't think it should have influence. I've not right to write there

Hm, sounds weird to me that the S-ON is a problem if it worked correctly until now, you can check it in the bootloader (vol up + power if I recall well). I can't guarantee though, I've S-Offed the phone on the day one. Best to install the older version for now, and then diagnose the problem (or do the darn S-OFF and not think of it again).

I've returned to previous version 15/02 too. However I've flash new kernel to check how new kernel works and everything works now without visible problems. Wait for couple of days I think S-ON is the trouble cause.
My most claimed problem now is the huge power loss mostly for screen. Night time loss not more than 10% of power but 1.5 hours for navigation software (even with power connected from car holder!) drain the battery more than 50%! 2 hours driving drains the battery to minimal value I remember my trip 2 years ago with the stock software: I had 10 hours and more with the phone in navigation and video registering in backgroud (!). This is very strange for me...

So, I've opened for S-OFF for my phone. It was not so simple but I've done that.
Next step was latest CM11 from Sultanxda installation (version from 1702). This step is completely successful. So my previous problem is solved: S-ON is the problem with no ROM flash. Sultanxda has included for new system features so it should flash for system regions...

cm 11 flashing procedure

To anybody has problem on stuck splash screen, follow this proccedure! Requirements: S off and latest 4ext recovery ,,3.33 firmware .Follow these steps.format everything factory reset dalvin cash and system .then again all partitions except sd.Then go to power menu reboot recovery and repeat the previous steps once again! I mean the formats.Now you are ready to flash the 2.17 rom .Flash it without the gapps and reboot . work inside rom for some minutes and go reboot into recovery .Flash the gapps without formating ofcourse & not the kernel reboot .After you set the rom and the accounts then you flash the kernel latest if you like. tell me if this time work for you without bugs:good:

Are you sure that you are using H/W Decoder NOT S/W?? because some other users like me reported that H/W decoder is not working on the latest Build!! it says "can not decode using H/W Decoder!!"

Yes i am using HW decoder !!no prob.All these bugs you are talking is about wrong flashing ,i mean the recovery many times can not fully format everything at once .So the installing is not fully clear!Format the way i told you and check if works better for you .:good:

I had a huge battery drainage on Sultan's rom. It could be due to faulty charger, or it could be due to wakelocks (Google+ made CPU wakelocks for over 4 hours through night...). I will test it more, but for now, I've greenified G+, and everything seems to be working as it should. If anyone else has battery problems, check your G+ out.

I have just flash the sultan rom built 7/3. having problem when i use headset, there is sound distortion while hearing music and moving from homescreen to app launcher. Does anyone else face this problem too?
